We had our son’s birthday party here, and it worked out brilliantly! The children had such a fun time, the facilities were just right, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. 5 out of 5, thank you Haltwhistle pool!

Like many before have observed already, the lack of a booking system and unlimited duration for the lucky few at the front might be ok, but the swimming pool has undoubtedly lost a lot of business as a result of the above. Many pools have retained their booking system introduced during covid and still allocate slots to provide certainty.for families. You’ve undoubtedly lost a lot of business (so money) and goodwill as a result of these processes.

Absolute waste of time, got there for 9.20 for the pool opening at 10, there were quite a few already queuing, the queue was growing massively behind me! The doors opened at 10 and the queue went down steadily, after being in line for well over an hour we got to the front desk and then they announced “we are now closed as we are full” …apparently I’ve now heard this also happened the day before….why dont they have a member of staff outside counting how many people are actually waiting, or hand out tickets with numbers on,or even better have a booking system to avoid so many people turning up as “no booking necessary”? A 45 minute journey to stand in line for over an hour to get to the front desk to he told they were now closed! A nice 45 minute drive back home and a visit to the local indoor pool!

Victims of their success unfortunately. No booking system and all-day ticket validity mean you have no idea before you get in your car whether you'll be able to get in or not? Why not do half days during school holidays, or allow people to book and pay ahead of time. Your website says no booking necessary, but loads of people are being turned away.

Staff were polite and friendly, lifeguards were alert but the amount of people allowed in today was shocking, honestly wanted to turn around and walk back out, no room whatsoever in the pools, kicked and jumped on constantly, stayed 30 mins then left. Would work much better if you were able to book online and given a time slot instead of letting everyone in for a full day in the school holidays, surely this can’t be safe. Cheaper than some outdoor pools but wouldn’t travel 2 hours to go again.

What a lovely place to visit with the Grandchildren age 6 & 8
We visited in July & had the most fantastic time
ALL the staff were so nice ,nothing was a problem, just absolutely perfect experience.
Although it is outside if the weather is warm enough get yourself in & enjoy, you'll get wet in the rain anyway:)

What a surprise I have driven past haltwhistle for the last 20 years along the A69 but this was the first time here, it’s brilliant, the staff were excellent very polite professional nice people from the receptionist the lifeguards to the lovely lady making the chips at a bargain of £1.50. Free car park and being able to take drinks through to the pool area.
The slide and pool were great we spent hours there what a bargain and so well ran we will be back. Thank you

We hired the place for 2 hours today and 30 of us had a brilliant time.
Incredible value for whole pool hire.
Special mention to all the staff who kept iris in check but did it with a smile on their face and made it even more fun.
Water was really warm.
Great place and hope it goes from strength to strength.

Lovely pool, both adults and kids had a great time. Cafe available and reasonably priced. Entry fee is for all day. You can take a packed lunch in with you. Outdoor seating available

We visited here on a very hot summers day. We paid £30.50 for 4 of us to swim then spent the next 4 hours playing in the pools. The children loved it! My only criticism is that the changing room floors got very dirty from grass being brought in on feet. Staff were all very friendly and were very on the ball. I was very impressed with the number of lifeguards on duty. Hopefully we’ll be back next year.
