Amazing and fun

We had the pleasure of taking a cooking class with Babs at our hotel in Radda. It was right when the outbreak started in Milan. Babs came in with an amazing menu. we had a blast. Now we are in quarantine in CA and are using her lessons to teach our kids to cook. Fortunately we were able to get a pasta roller before everything shut down. I highly recommend this for a fun evening and great food!

Cooking Class in Tuscany

We recently enjoyed a wonderful cooking class with Babs to celebrate two birthdays. It was a wonderful experience and Babs was delightful. She is as authentic as the dishes she taught us to prepare and we highly recommend her.

Private chef, wonderful experience!

We hired Babs to prepare a special birthday dinner while we were visiting Impruneta. Not only is she a wonderful chef, she is also a fabulous baker as well! Babs arrived on time and immediately got to work cooking our meal, and let us watch her as she prepared the various dishes. She was so warm and friendly, and kindly answered all our questions about food preparation. We also pre-ordered a birthday cake from her, which was delicious and beautifully decorated. We can't wait to hire her again on our next visit to Italy!

We were lucky to have Barbara come to our rented farmhouse outside Siena to cook a delicious 4-course dinner to celebrate my sisters 80th birthday. She made it such a lovely evening for all of us. Easygoing, serviceminded, we will highly recommend for this kind of event.

Wonderful Cooking Class in our Villa!

We arranged for Babs to teach a cooking class at the villa we rented for a tour. She was delightful and so was the food. It was one of the highlights of our trip, we will hire her again on our next tour. Highly recommended!

No trip to Tuscany is complete without experiencing Babs Kitchen!! My wife and I were on our honeymoon and this was not only the highlight of our trip, but one of the best overall travel experiences I can remember. Barbara is an amazing chef with an expert knowledge of desserts and wine. Her homemade limoncello and slowberry wine is an amazing bonus to your 5 course dining experience. We made scratch raviolis with pear/onion filling and cream sauce, fried chicken with lemon sauce, tiramisu, coccoli and a few other dishes. Her facility is top-notch!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Chianti Wine Tour

On our recent trip to Florence we spent a day with Barbara visiting two wineries in the Chianti region. Not only did we enjoy the tours and the wine tasting, but Barbara was a terrific guide who made you feel like a friend. In addition to being a knowledgable and interesting sommelier, she pointed our various landmarks and structures of historical significance along the way. The trip was extremely well organized, with the owners of both wineries personable and welcoming. The entire day, including a delicious lunch in a small Chianti village, felt like it had been tailored just for us. We would highly recommend Barbara if you are interested in a wine tour that has a customized feel to it. Outstanding!

Honeymoon Cooking Class

Barbara is excellent! We cooked a 5 course lunch with another couple and had a blast. Barbara speaks fluent Italian and English, offers a variety of recipes and her hospitality is top notch. We went to her industrial kitchen in her home and enjoyed lunch al Fresca with homemade lemoncello in her charming backyard dining room. Bab's cooking class is a MUST!

The Perfect Evening

My husband and I adored Babs and the cooking class experience. It was certainly a highlight of our honeymoon in Italy, and we felt so lucky to have stumbled upon the class. It was a last minute choice for us since we weren't sure what city we'd want a class in, but Babs accommodated with a request just the day before!

The food were all classic tuscan dishes, and we had the whole nine yards: apertivo, primi, segundi, and dolci! Since it was our Honeymoon, Babs even offered to pop some champagne for us to enjoy at the start of our meal. On the warm evening outside we enjoyed a delicious Rosé after the champagne as we began per manjare (excuse the incorrect italian). To start we learned bread (tuscan focaccia went by another name) and pasta making (spaghetti), and Bab's had great technique tips for us. Homemade pasta makes such a difference! The chicken dish we made was some of the best chicken we've tasted, and the panna cotta dessert was delicious too! A tasty salad with pecorino and apple was great on the side. As soon as we got home we started making some of the Babs inspired recipe's she supplied us with, and we love it.

Bab's instruction was great, you can tell she has great culinary training and really tries to impart all the tips she can while you cook each dish.
The evening and ambience were perfect, in part because the class was set on her welcoming property, and we ate in a relaxing backyard pergola with lit candles.
