Take photos from the road instead…?

Disney fairytale style castle and grounds, so very beautiful and well kept. Not an historic or serving castle, more of a tourist experience creation with the feeling of an abandoned or repurposed water park perhaps. The caged animals (“zoo”) were a slightly upsetting sight, but three peacocks did seem to have escaped to the lawns and not really bothered fleeing any further… we were charged full admission late September but the season had clearly already ceased - not allowed in the castle, only around the edge and into the cellars (which were beautiful). Toads galore, stone and alive ones alike. Other downsides include being told at the ticket office (and this place is in the middle of nowhere really…) that they only take cash - luckily had just enough to scrape in but absolutely nothing more on us. Then ushered into the seemingly compulsory photo experience despite protesting and plainly telling them we have no money to buy them anyway. Then on the way out of the castle, we were chased up the road (“oi lady”) and forced to look at the magnet and photo ‘frame’ and have more respect for him as the photographer. It took three attempts to get him to leave us alone by explaining we don’t have any cash. Seemingly they now were suggesting card payment as an option… the multiple attempts here were not a language barrier; his English was fine, he was just being an overly aggressive and ironically disrespectful salesman. P.S. you have to pay for the toilets here too

Give it a miss!!!

Be under no illusions, this is NOT a real castle! Grumpy welcome at the ticket when my ticket didn't say what he wanted it to. Then greeted by the king who insisted we had our photo taken with him. The grounds are very pretty and well kept. It's a poor man's Harry Potter World. Fake armour and wishing wells. The kids we saw seemed to enjoy it. If you're thinking of coming, do not buy an excursion ticket, it's not worth the money. Done and dusted in an hour. The zoo........miss it out. If you like animals it will upset you. Kept in makeshift wire cages in filthy conditions. With the heat the smell was quite pungent. Birds were clearly distressed as they were pulling out their feathers. Food and drinks are extremely expensive. We paid £16 each entry. Not worth the money and they charge extra to go into the castle. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL

Beautiful place, lovely gardens. Shame about the food

We loved this place as soon as we stepped inside. Beautiful gardens, lovely animals (seemed to be in good condition despite the bad reviews) impressive buildings and it was generally nice to walk around. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. That was all until we decided to stop for “kebab” type food at the stall at the back. We ordered 6 meals, he gave us 5 and refused to give us the 6th meal claiming he had already given it to us. We gave him our receipt but he still refused. We tried being friendly and reasonable but he was incredibly rude back. Even claimed that he would “check his security camera” then admitted that he didn’t have a camera. Nasty individual who ruined the rest of the experience for us. Thankfully this was at the end of our trip so we were happy to leave after this. The guy needs to go back to school and learn how to count to 6.

Castelo novo (começou a ser construído em 1997) que foi erguido para o turismo. Seu interior não estava aberto para visitas. Por fora, um exuberante jardim, fonte, gazebos, aves e até um salão medieval. Conta ainda com restaurante e uma adega do proprietário. O local rende belas fotos, mas é fraco para o que cobra. Talvez se tivéssemos podido visitar internamente, a opinião teria sido outra.

Non consigliato per gli amanti degli animali

Sono visitabili solo gli esterni del castello i quali sono sicuramente molto curati ma non valgono 15€. Mi sembra di aver visto solo una stanza visitabile (a pagamento) anche i bagni nonostante il prezzo del biglietto sono a pagamento. Dulcis in fundo se non siete amanti degli animali in cattività lasciate stare... Hanno una gabbia con svariati volatili, un lama e un cane di grande taglia in gabbia con diverse escoriazioni sul muso. Ah dimenticavo, accettano solo contanti, però proprio prima dell'ingresso c'è un atm.

Superb castle
Worth visiting, it’s really astonishing inside.
Has many gardens you can access some of the buildings, I love the lake and the walk inside the gardens.

JUST WANTED TO LET PEOPLE KNOW HOW WONDERFUL THE LADY MANAGER AND HER TEAM ARE HERE.MY FRIEND CALLAPSED WHILST ON A PRIVATE TRIP,SHE RANG A AMBULANCE AND ALSO PAID FOR ME TO RETURN TO OUR HOTEL FOR PASSPORTS THEN TAKE ME TO BOURGAS HOSPITAL.THIS IS THE FINEST CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYONE COULD ASK FOR.THE CASTLE IS A LOVELY WAY TO SPEND SOME TIME.

Absolute Abzocke
Eine der schlechtesten Erlebnisse die wir je hatten, es hat absolut nichts mit einem Schloss oder einer Burg zu tun. Um einige Bereiche sehen zu können, muss man Geld bezahlen.. sollte eigentlich im Eintritt enthalten sein, selbst für die Toiletten muss man Geld bezahlen.
Das „Schloss“ war komplett gesperrt und unzugänglich.
Alles künstlich angelegt bzw. Hat nicht mit historisch zu tun.
Eine Enttäuschung für die Erwachsenen wie auch für die Kinder.
