Popped in on the of chance last weekend, Great food, service & really good portion sizes, Staff are very welcoming & so are the locals, would defiantly recommend you won't be disappointed

Been here 3 times now with our Wednesday walking club and we have enjoyed every visit. The beer, the food and the service has been just fabulous . They seem to go out of their way to make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble.
If you are in the area then it’s well worth visiting.

From the moment we walked in the door we knew we had chosen well.
The bar maid made us feel very welcome with some banter.
The food and ale was amazing.
Shame we don’t live local as this is truly an amazing pub.

We had an enjoyable sunday lunch. Friendly somerset local popular lovely old traditional pub.
too much for us to eat, so hope they didnt think we didnt like it, just couldnt eatb it all.

We decided to try somewhere new! The lunch was delicious and the service was excellent. I especially want to thank our waitress because my elderly father paid twice for our meal when he meant to leave a tip in cash (not an additional 60 pounds). She was very honest and found us before we left the pub, THANK YOU.

Came for a meal here and the service was excellent a very pleasant experience and located in a very quiet and pretty village, all the staff especially the bar maid Mia were attentive and made you feel welcome, there was a lovely atmosphere and food was very nice and came within a reasonable time, would love to come again when visiting the area

We have had the Sunday Roast take away many times. A very large tasty meal with a great selection of vegetables to include roasted potatoes, carrots, broccoli, swede mash, parsnips, red cabbage and cauliflower cheese. All is fresh and nothing from a freezer. There is a choice of meats and the only criticism I have is that although you get plenty of meat it’s very thinly sliced as if it had been cut on a machine and not like what you would serve at home but regardless of this one criticism a very delicious meal and well worth the money. Dined here on two evenings and the food and service was excellent. It's clearly a favourite with the locals and you could easily see why, good local produce, well cooked and great service. Very clean and comfortable bar and the portions a good size so make sure you go when you're hungry!

Traditional English pub with excellent food, so delicious and very large portions. Friendly atmosphere, well worth a visit and we would definitely return.
