Nice temple and Bhagwati devi idol is very beautiful. However the fort in which the temple is located is not at all maintained. Visit only for the temple and the sea view.

We had been wanting to visit this temple after our daughter’s wedding, to take the Goddesses blessings for the newly married couple as well as all of us. We reached by hiring an autorikshaw and also requesting him to take us back to the hotel. The temple is clean and nicely maintained and we could take the Darshan quite peacefully as there was no rush. We could take some nice pictures of the Ratnadurga Fort as well as the Arabian Sea from here. King Theba of Burma has presented a mirror to this temple and it’s on display. The entrance of the temple has a nice warning for the tourists that the temple will be closed at the given time and the Priest will not be responsible if someone is trapped inside. The Priest’s telephone number is given below for such contingency.

This temple is situated in the Ratnadurg Fort. Temple has been renovated and now in good condition. This is the only good place in the Ratnadurg Fort. Otherwise Fort is not maintained properly.

This is important Historical Temple of Maa Devi Bhagvati . It is the only building inside the Ratnadurg Fort. Temple is usual Hindu temple styled. It is important because it is related with Shivaji Maharaj.

This is a Lovely temple situated in Ratnadurg fort.
It is situated close to the main fort entrance and so is quite easily accessible. Views from outside the temple of the town below is also quite amazing

This is a serene temple within the Ratnadurg fort and can be accessed easily from the Fort entrance gate.
Inspite of being an ancient temple, it is well maintained till today. However due to the distance from Ratnadurg town, it is not that crowded

I went to Shri Devi Bhagwati Mandir. The temple is located within the massive Ratnadurg fort and is one of the most ancient temples in Maharashtra. Deities like 'veer vignesh' and 'ashtadashbhuj' sculptors are very unique. It is great place to go.

This temple is inside the Fort area. The view of the sea was so serene with the pier & brightly colored boats. We could also see the light house. We would have loved to watch the sunset but they close the fort area by 6pm. Though one can wait down near the fort to see the sunset.

The temple is located about 10 mins drive from Ratnagiri city. You will find many budget hotels in Ratnagiri city, but I do not think there are any large 5 star hotels in Ratnagiri that are part of any international chain.
