Blink and you’ll miss it. This is a great place to visit if you’re a lover of gin. It’s at the bottom of Mahon harbour, not far opposite the cruise liner entrance.
You can taste all the different guns they bottle locally. The testing is limitless. We also found the on-site shop was a lot more reasonable than the local gift shops.
Example: we bought a few shot glasses for €0.60 each, where the other shops would sell them for €2.50…
They have gins, cheese, T-shirts and plenty of other items to choose from.
I didn’t realise how many different flavours of gin they actually made.
We caught the service bus from the hotel into Mahon for about €1.80 each way. There is a TUI excursion which picks you up at the hotel and takes you door to door, not quite sure on how much that is, but we found it cheaper the other way.

We called in here whilst visiting Mahon. Basically the part that you have access to is a shop that also includes a free tasting area where you can try the different types of gin. Behind glass screens you can see the stills and other equipment where the gin is made. Dotted around the shop on the walls etc is other information and old stills etc. We thought it was well worth a visit if in Mahon.

At the end of a Seabourn excursion, this was a visit as part of the trip. As it was right across from the dock for the ship, I suppose it was an easy add-on. What a waste of time. This is a complete tasting experience and there is really nothing to be learned about the process of production or absolutely anything else.

We only had time for a wander about the shop but you can see the production of gin through windows. I think they do some tours of the production area though. Very interesting place full of history. Prices not bad for the gin but if you shop about in supermarkets you can find cheaper. Overall worth a look, another thing is they have bottles of everything they make open to taste with little sample cups to dispose of.

Absolute Empfehlung. Wir hatten die große Tour mit Besichtigung des Destillerie gebucht und es war einfach mega informativ. Alle Fragen wurden umfassend beantwortet. Das Highlight der Tour war die anschließende unbegrenzte Verkostung aller Produkte (ca 15 Stück) inkl. Tapas.

Stumbled upon Xoriguer gin distillery whilst looking round the Mahon port, limited opportunity to learn about gin distilling from the instructional video presentations, however, a fantastic opportunity to taste their products.
Main gin product is smooth and refreshing, exceptional quality and there are some further liquors and flavoured variants to try.
Good opportunity to try before you buy on some great products.
Visiting the distillery is free....until you stock up on gin!

Si vous voulez des explications il faut réserver la visite guidée qui duré environ 1 heure avec dégustation à la fin ( 15 euros par personne). C’est intéressant de voir que tout est fait artisanalement à la main, rien n est automatisé. On visite la partie avec les alambics, le stock de baies de genévrier mais pas la partie mise en bouteille.
Les visites se font uniquement en anglais ou espagnol.
Si vous ne prenez pas la visite ça reste simple magasin avec un accès libre.
Parking à proximité .

Visited in June 2022 on a TUI organised trip from our hotel in Cala Blanca , we have visited Mahon before so we treated this as a nice way to spend half a day and we were not disappointed.
Our courier was an experienced lady who lived on the island so very knowledgeable and funny with it.
The boat trip was good and informative, the highlight was feeding the fish, we were fortunate enough to see dolphins on the way back to port , so bonus.
The gin distillery is not to be taken seriously, it’s good fun and free gin can’t be bad.
The herbal drink is stunning but the gin itself actually tastes of something, I am not a gin drinker but tasting it neat was a pleasant surprise, all in all a nice way to spend a morning, fortunately the lunch buffet was still on at the hotel when we returned 😎😎

Gin production began in Menorca when the British ruled there. So there is actually little difference in the flavour of traditional gin. However most of the gins you can taste are flavoured and very nice.
