We travelled from the West Midlands to experience Cockfield's Farm Monster Trucks event and we were NOT disappointed. We arrived at 10.30am to an extremely well organised onsite car park and a friendly welcome from staff on our first visit to the farm. The weather forecast was looking awful for the day but came prepared with puddlesuits and wellies, but fell lucky with most of our day staying dry and with 2 Monster Truck shows scheduled we were able to enjoy what the farm had to offer in between. We fed the animals in the barn, enjoyed the deer paddocks & chickens, loved the cuddle barn and also spent a good chunk of time in the sandpit/bouncy pillow and play park. The Monster Truck shows were nothing short of brilliant, we all enjoyed it - even watching it in the afternoon in pouring rain just added to the suspense! After the final show we headed back in to the farm for animal encounters where we held a snake, lizard and millipede with plenty of opportunities for photos and questions from the staff. The weather meant that the farm was very quiet towards 3pm so we were able to do another round on the barn, and play areas before some warm doughnuts & hot chocolate to end a fantastic day. Overall we had a really positive experience, we agreed it was exceptional value for money for the day we had (the extra's we chose to buy such as foam finger/drinks and snacks were our choice but you could easily pack a flask and extra snacks etc to keep costs down) Due to the distance we would need the additional event to make our trip worthwhile to make a day of it, a special mention to ALL of the staff for making us feel very welcome, the animal encounter team for going the extra mile to allow families to meet a range of animals and for making it a really well organised and enjoyable day!

Best day out! Always a different experience each time we go, the staff are great the two ladies who did the farm festival had so much energy and made it lots of fun we cried laughing on the party disco tractor ride getting soaked with water guns!
The foam party was great (again) and we have booked for the monster truck show in a few weeks, thank you cockfields, 14 years we have been going there and always have a great day

I have been to Cockfields many times with my grandson but yesterday was left feeling disappointed.
I went with my daughter in law and my 3yr old grandson.
Tickets were £36.10. 2 bags of animal feed were in this price.
An iced coffee, a Pepsi and 6 small donuts were £12.40.
1 pizza with chips, 1 hotdogs with chips + 1 Pepsi £19.10
A small toy car from the gift shop was £10.
A total of £77.60.
We arrived at 1.30, my daughter in law lives in Preston. I thought well that's OK it says 4.30pm closing on the website, we'll have plenty of time to do lots if things.
There was a queue of about 30 people to see meet the reptiles. The reptiles were 4 tortoises in cat litter trays a tray of water and children were given a toothbrush to scrub the creatures. I believe later they brought out a snake. We didn't bother to queue to look at that.
Not so many animals in the animal barn as there used to be. Small animal handling was a let down too, I don't remember seeing anyone supervising the rabbits and guinea pigs that were loose on tables either.
The play area was good and the giant bouncing was a hit, could do with supervising as small kiddies do get flung about on it.
The meerkat enclosure is good. The chicken enclosures are OK but not much to see.
There were things going on that we didn't even notice or they weren't actually happening. It said things were going on in an events tent we were stood near it and I didn't see any activity.
There is a play area with pretend shops etc next to the cafe area which is in desperate need of serious refurbishment and a good clean.
At 3.45pm my grandson wanted to see the rabbits as he hadn't as been in the small animal. We collected our stuff and walked towards it only to find it shut up. I looked at the time and it was 3.50pm. I asked a member of staff why it was closed and she told me the farm was closed now. I said that the website says closes at 4.30pm apparently not during farm festival! I could have argued that it wasn't even 4pm yet but what was the point.
FYI there was a mega foam disco party when foam was fired out of a canon, gallons of the stuff fired out over children and adults alike. It went on for ages and there were a lot of wet through shivering children around, water was sorayed as well. Pre warning to bring towels would have been good

Expensive day out - I took my nearly two year old but I'd probably wait until she's older to go back to ensure its value for money. The cafe is very poor and very few staff. We went mid week and it was quite quiet. However we waited a long time for service. Animals look very well cared for and a nice small park area. I'm not sure it was value for money at full price though.

We visited this farm as a family during their Easter festivities. We drove an hour to get to the farm and I had concerns that it may not be worth the trip as it appeared small on the website.
I had no reason to be concerned, although there are larger farms to visit it certainly compensated with a rolling entertainment schedule throughout the day delivered by friendly and knowledgeable staff.
The indoor food area was large enough to accommodate everyone despite the less than ideal weather and they had a good range of hot food options.
Because of the weather we didn't fully utilise the outdoor play area but there was ample indoors to keep the kids entertained.
In the end we spent five hours exploring the farm and in summary it's a great day out whatever the weather.

I visited today for the Easter event with my 6 & 9 year old and it was a fantastic day out. They really loved seeing and being able to touch some of the animals. The Easter egg hunt was great, the carrot planting was lovely, the tractor ride was fun, the singing was fun. We arrived at 10.25 and left at 4.15, we did every event without any rush and the kids played on the inflatable pillow for ages! We took our own food, plenty of areas to sit inside and out and the inside area was kept clean. We just got ice creams from £2.50 per cone. Although it was busy it was very well organised and didn’t feel busy as so much to do. The passports given on entry were very helpful and it made sure we didn’t miss anything. The only small downside was having to exit through the shop as it was expensive and of course the kids wanted to buy something, they need some cheaper options mixed in. And finally the staff, it was very well staffed in every area and they were all great with the kids, friendly and helpful. It’s worth the money and worth a visit. We will certainly return. 🙂

I’ve wanted to visit this farm after seeing on social media a while back. Finally visited whilst there was an offer on for a family of 3 for £30. We also purchased animal feed. The kids really enjoyed seeing the animals including baby goats which were very cute, alpaca’s, cow’s, pig, sheep, reptiles and reindeer. In the cuddling corner they were able to stroke and pet rabbits and Guinea pigs. They also got to touch and see a snake up close. They enjoyed the bouncing pillow when playing outside and played on this for ageas. We took our own picnic and eat in the indoor picnic area as outside was a little cold. The indoor picnic area could do with being a big bigger as could see when the farm is very busy, families may struggle to get a table. There is hot food you can order along with hot drinks, snacks and ice creams. I saw you were able to roast marshmallows outside also but this wasn’t available when we were there. All staff very friendly. Would recommend as an outing.

We visited here for the first time today and I definitely would not recommend and certainly will not be coming back. It is a really small farm with hardly any animals so we was pretty much just in and out! I was so shocked that there wasn't more for the price. Please save your money and go somewhere else! I am also really glad we didn't pay the extortionate prices for the Christmas experience!!

Came for the Christmas event and was really disappointed. It was no where near as good as the last time we came (approx 4 years ago). The staff were very enthusiastic, but you were left to work it out yourself as to where you were suppose to go. Last time we came everyone went through all the areas at the same time, guided by staff. This time there was none of that.

Well we all enjoyed it and our party ranged from 2 to 60. It is aimed at kids but the grown ups got just as much out of it because they really know about their animals. I'd feel a bit odd going without a kid though.
