Lovely castle which can host weddings or give you a quiet country vacation. Many apartments are for rent either daily or weekly, and this location is a beautiful, a quiet "getaway" far away from bustling cities.about a 45 minute drive from scenic Passau, which is on the Danube river. A phenomenal commercial garden shop is on the premises, which has LOVELY flowers.

The place is in a special location, above the Danube. There is a great gardener sur place who has done beautiful wedding pieces. The owners are a mixed bag, the original Count whose family has owned the estate for several hundred years , is a dignified, elegant and friendly personage, as are his daughters and their husbands, his wife less so, and it is she who handles the apartments. We had several unexpected and unpleasant surprises from our dealings with her, as we learned later was the general experience of all who have had to deal with her. The view is delightful, the chapel exquisite, and there is a building that is used for the receptions and concerts that is beautifully done. Just be sure to read all the fine print before you sign with Madame, and know exactly what the terms are.

We were invited to a wedding which was celebrated here - a beautiful location that has so many different areas to offer, all with their own distinct character and beauty. We thoroughly enjoyed the setting and had a wonderful celebration. They also have upscale holiday apartments.
