We just were here last week. There is a small sandy road along the shore in between Bambarra and Conch bar made for fun off roading and views

We made a brief stop here. The machinery rusted out in the water was an interesting stop and made for a few good pics. It smelled really bad when we were here and the water wasn’t very impressive. It looks like the area is having a sargassum problem.

might as well stop here. About halfway out to Bambarra beach - oddly juxtaposed rusting bulldozer and pier against beautiful clear water. Might make an interesting picture - but it's a 15 minute stop and back in the car (think Chevy Chase visiting the grand canyon in Vacation!)

This was interesting and a great stop for water and photos. Easy to find and worth the 10 minutes. Probably wouldn't do it again.

I saw this and it was really great and I took lot's of pictures and me and my husband were the only 2 people here. The water was so pretty and the weather was great. Make sure when you go that the weather is good and sunny.

This was on my list of things to see as my boyfriend is a heavy duty mechanic who grew up on the farm and has an eye for machinery. I sent him and his father photos of everything here and they were amazed at the amount of rust. If you're interested in equipment, it's something to see in the Caribbean. I don't usually put heavy duty equipment and oceans in the same category so this really was neat. The ocean was a dark blue and I don't recall there being mosquitos. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't bring spray though.
I believe this was before the flamingo pond, before Bambarra, and after Daniel's Cafe. Definitely cool to take a few minutes to look at.

If you're looking to do some fishing from shore, this can be a good spot. It's not really a pretty location because of the rusty barge and equipment left behind and now buried in sand from a failed attempt at making a cargo port on Middle Caicos. The rusty barge does make for a pier that gets you in a good spot for casting though. I have had really good luck here when the wind and waves are in the right direction so that the water is clear. I've also been there when the weather wasn't in my favor, the waves are crashing in, and the water is murky making for lousy fishing. Of course that's all part of fishing.
Make sure to get your fishing license on Provo at the Harbour Master building in Turtle Cove before you go to Middle Caicos, you can't get a fishing license on Middle. You can find Platico Point by taking the sand road next to Daniel's Cafe if you're adventurous. Or you can stick to the main paved road, drive through Conch Bar, and it will be down one of the clearings on the side of the road leading to the ocean.
