Just bought a house about 4 blocks from there and went to visit the center. They do have ramps for viewing the birds. And Ramps thru out. Handicap friendly trail. Did not notice if they provide wheelchairs. I really doubt it. It’s a nice place to visit. I experienced this year a release of a loggerhead turtle back to the Atlantic that was rehabilitated and it was awesome. They do great things there. Worth the visit.

I know Saturdays starting around 11am the staff starts feeding all the animals. Usually they get to the rays by noon & will let interested kids feed them, if they are not over stimulated. It's really fun to watch. I think, but am not sure, they let you feed the rays on Mondays & Wednesdays too, around noon.

Yes, it is free. There are limited spots right next to the building. We had to park on the road.

No. There is no extra charge to pet the sting rays or sharks.

We spent about an hour there. It is not very big, but it is a neat place to go and very educational.

As of October 6, 2021, we have had to unfortunately change our admission fees to the following - adult $8, seniors (over 50) $7, and children (over 3) $5. With the increase in animal intakes over the past years and increases in both medical supplies and food items, our fees needed to be changed to help us successfully continue caring for sick and injured turtles and birds treated our at center.

It isn't age as much as experience. I spoke with a few of the people examining the animals, and they were or had graduated from college/university in a science curriculum. Their ages seemed to be twenties and thirties except for the volunteers who were older, probably 60s + or -.
