We used their refurbished small lounge for a wake on 11th July. Very happy with the service, staff nice and helpful, they laid on a buffet and the food was lovely and fresh.

Just had our wedding reception there, was going really well until the end of the evening when it can to settling the bill. They refused to reply to emails, would only speak over the phone reguarding prices etc, this is so that you have nothing in writing to argue with when the bill comes out. They asked for payment twice for the DJ when this was paid in November 2018!! They gave me a price for drink on arrival for 250 people and then tried to charge the same price for 100 people!! They said our families and friends could use the car park over the road, but then when they needed to get their cars out to travel back to Birmingham, Weston etc they were blocked in, our 1 guest had to sent her 21 month old daughter home with her mom and go home herself 2 hours later!!! I believe they thought we would be drunk, but we don't drink!!!!!!!

I selected The Sportsman as they have a private function room with stage and dance floor for my 60th birthday party with live bands playing. Great decision, this is a perfect venue in every way. The function room, the staff, the food, the bar service, all excellent.

Good local pub. Has a pool table. Very good large and reasonable priced function room. Good selection of drinks and has good amount and size of tv screens for sports fans.

Cracking little booze plenty of outdoor seating to watch the world go by. Great staff, hope Mandy realises what good staff she has, often left on their own they go the extra mile for the punters, Great work girls keep it up .

Refitted a few years ago, this main road pub has a modern feel. It looks awaful from the outside and would benefit from haveing a trellis type of effect with lighting to screen the pub garden, whioch is at the front of the property, from passing foot and vehicle traffic. The inside, however, is very relaxed and informal, with nicely upholstered chairs.
It advertises itself as Long Eaton's having Long Eaton's biggest function room, which is indeed impressive and accessed from an entrance separate from the main pub and is used for everything from weddings, funerals teenage parties to music events.

The name says it all, this is a sports fans delight. Flat screens and comfortable chairs/sofas and a good range of beers/ales whilst watching sport. Seating available outside and limited parking space.

This is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere. We often call in for a drink or bar meal. There are often bands and events in the function room. It always a good night out.

This was my local pub for the few years I was in Long Eaton, the staff have always been super friendly and always cheerful.
It recently had a makeover which made it have a more suitable ambience and has brilliant seating outside during sunny days.
Its a local pub, so very family friendly and has a venue for small gigs and events.
