Great little country course, well maintained and very pretty, with lots of trees and the Seaward Kaikoura Mountains as backdrop to the opening hole. A rare12-hole layout, which is great when 18 is too much and nine too short. Mostly flat. A creek creates hazards on several holes but otherwise trees are your main hazard. Accuracy off the tee is very important in my view! And you’ll often have course to yourself.
