Disappointed Food and Wine Tour Experience

Extremely dissatisfied with the Mt Tamborine Food & Wine Tour. It started off poorly with the so called planned coffee and morning tea being cancelled due to the venue being closed. Our start time was 8:45am. No alternative was offered. Then due to the bus going in the wrong direction we were set back an hour which meant every other stop was cut short so that we could be back at the end of the day at the scheduled time. No water was offered on the bus, even though we seemed to spend the entire day on there. When we got to our lunch destination, no wine was included and we had to purchase our own drinks, and because we were so late getting there, my $22 drink was brought to me 10 minutes before we had to leave. Needless to say it didn’t get drunk.The entire day felt rushed, and at no point were we given an explanation or an apology with what was going on. At $200 a head, I expected far more but was extremely disappointed. Sadly I would not recommend this tour.

Disappointing

Did a mount tambourine tour ! Not sure if this is one of their usual tours as I had heard great things previously but the day was disappointing. First the tour guide , Karen, was late even though we were told to be there on time which we all were! Then the bus was lost which wasted at least a good hour or more of our tour time for which there was no explanation or apology ! We were then rushed through our venues as we had missed our booking times at each stop and the tour still had to finish on time ! The cost seemed a bit excessive. Would not book another tour with this company !

Disappointing tour

We were on the tambourine wine tour. First of all bus driver went the wrong way and for a 45 min trip to the first stop it took 2 hours because the tour guide did not realise we were going the wrong way and had to back track. We all felt very rushed at each stop, our second stop we arrived at 12, told we were to leave by 2 but lunch had not even been served until 1.20 and were still expected to be on the bus ready to go by 2. It felt like the whole day was in the bus and 30 minutes at every other stop when they were supposed to be 2 hours. The tour guide seemed more interested in getting footage and photos for advertising and not about us having a good time and being able to chat with our friends. The tour guide Karen wasn't approachable and actually quite condescending. I felt like we were being bossed around and not actually able to enjoy each venue and take photos for ourselves. For $200 it just did not seem worth it we did not get the full time at each venue and was just a total mess and disappointment of a day. Will not book a wine tour with the company ever again.

A fabulous afternoon of fun, food and frolics in Broadbeach

Great fun! A fantastic afternoon in great company, sampling fabulous food and drinks in some of the best restaurants in Broadbeach. Karen and her helpers provided a well-organised and fun tour - all we had to do was turn up, and follow the Hat between venues :-) I have signed up for another tour straight away, and can't wait for the next event..

BAR HOPPING IN BROADBEACH

Four of us (over 60) thoroughly enjoyed the Broadbeach Tour. We went to four venues, sampling their cocktails and food, and met visitors from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and some locals who were all out to enjoy a few hours of wining and dining. Karen and her team managed to keep up moving, took photos and ensured we were well looked after in each venue. I'm now looking forward to the Burleigh Heads Tour next time.

Afternoon spent laughing, eating and drinking. Is there anything better in life?

The Broadbeach food and wine tour was our first. We absolutely loved the experience. We tried food, wine and of course cocktails that we wouldn't have ever tried if we hadn't joined the tour. Karen organised the tour so well and set us up for a fun filled afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting people from very different walks of life than our own everyday experience - you can always find something in common. We can't wait to do another tour - I would recommend for any special occasion or just for something fun to do. Thanks again Karen.

An Afternoon of Tasting Broadbeach’s Finest

I had the pleasure of taking part in this wonderful afternoon tasting the delights of Broadbeach’s finest . The food was delicious & the drinks menu didn’t disappoint. We had cocktail making demonstrations as well as a lesson on how to make pizza. I met some lovely new friends as well. Karen is very welcoming & is the ultimate tour guide. I will definitely be booking my next birthday in for a tour & can’t wait to share with all my friends.

Food and wine tour Burleigh .... great afternoon.. ran so well by Karen ... went to a few restaurants (such good feed and all so welcoming and friendly.. little restaurants that are all a great fund .. and the wine/drinks were great .... recommend to anyone .. Karen knows how to keep a group moving!!

I highly recommend going on the Gold Coast Food and Wine Tour. It’s a fantastic way to sample different restaurant’s cuisine as well as having an enjoyable afternoon getting to know new people. Karen has really done her research to find an array of hidden gem restaurants and it shows how much she puts her heart and soul into ensuring everyone has a good time. I first experienced the Broadbeach tour and liked it so much, returned a couple of months later for the Burleigh Heads tour. It honestly is a must when on the Coast. Can’t praise this activity highly enough.
