This is a nice change from the theme parks - a natural wilderness track that runs from the entrance at Sea World down to the channel between the Southport Spit and South Stradbroke Island. You can walk along the paved Sea World drive and come back along the Federation Walk track as we did or take the track and then the beach with its long sand pumping jetty instead. (There appeared to be lifesaving patrols for some of it). There are sea views along the way from Sea World drive and, of course, the beach with the bush track giving dune views along the track. We saw bush turkeys along the way.
The Seaway Kiosk and Jetty is a nice coffee stop. Walking to the end of the Spit where the water is pouring in the channel with the ocean splashing against the rocks was a really worthwhile experience. We learnt that in the 1890s the sea broke through South Stradbroke Island here and created this channel. It was quite wild the day we went.

A great walk (or jog) from Sheraton Mirage all the way to The Spit Gold Coast along the coast. It’s about a 50min walk to The Spit (which has been recently upgraded with a new path along the breakwater with some seating leading to the Spit).

Great spot for walk that is close to the beach, but feels like you are in the bush. I have walked this track both on weekends and weekdays - there is a bit more traffic, including electric bikes, on weekends, but on the whole this is not a hugely busy track. You can walk from surfers paradise right to the end of the Spit and back, which is about 16kms return, or just pcik up the track anywhere in between.

A nice walk to do when you need a bit of exercise. You can basically walk to the end of the spit and then walk back via the beach.

We did the walk up the Beach from Surfers and joined the tracks through the reserve after walking past the Sheraton. The walk ends at a park with a cafe and we really enjoyed the walk.

Loved this walk. I would love to walk it every morning as it follows the sea. Just watch out for the bicycles especially those who don't ring their bells.

Very enjoyable walk. Stroll through and enjoy if you are down Main Beach area for a delightful wander through shaded areas as well as open areas. Feels like you are miles from everything.

Si tienen tiempo es un lindo paseo caminando, se puede hacer todo o parte. No creo que sea un imperdible, pero es una forma linda de conocer Main Beach. Nosotros desde la punta pudimos ver algunos delfines en el mar. Pero si tienen poco tiempo, es mejor dedicarlo a caminar mas la playa de Surfers paradise

I think they have to be on a lead but on the beach we let ours run. You have to be away from the flags. Lovely beach to walk on
