Lovely spot for lunch and a quick walk to a waterfall.

This was a great spot to stop for lunch, with lots of picnic tables spread through the area. Despite there being 4 full tables, we were able to get a lovely leafy private area all to ourselves.

The walk to the falls is very short, with a lovely lookout over the falls. Ensure you keep going another 200m or so as there is a second lookout which is worth a look.

Very clean with great facilities.

At the end of the Springbrook Mountain Road, Goomoolahra Falls offers clean amenities, an easy 100m walk alongside the waters, to an excellent viewing platform that can extend to longer walks

A short walk from the car park and picnic areas takes you to the top of the Falls with good views away towards the coast. Best after rain, when we went there was very little water to be seen.

Better from below

We didn't visit the picnic area at the top of the falls, but used the Warrie circuit hiking trail that crosses the falls on a causeway lower down. That was very spectacular, even though the falls (which in most places I'd be raving about) aren't that fantastic by Springbrook standards.

It's such an easily-accessed sightseeing platform!

I didn't know what to expect because of previous experiences in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, but the lookout presented me with knockout and up-close views of these impressive falls. The day we were there rain had been forecast but hadn't eventuated, so the Falls were not in full spate. Nevertheless there was enough water flowing over to present a thrilling sight. The path to the lookout is easy, well paved and full of surprises. For example: one very much alive carpet snake about 2 metres long which was on the concrete platform of the viewing area slowly digesting some unfortunate prey!

Gold Coast and Ocean Views

The lookout at Goomoolahra Falls faces east and provides great views of the buildings of the Gold Coast and beyond to the ocean. Particularly good at sunset as the lights on the Gold Coast begin to shine. As well it's a lovely picnic spot and great for the kids with a shallow creek and rock pools. If you're lucky you might see some rare frogs.

View is at an awkward angle

The view through the valley is great but the falls are not clearly visible due to side angle. Short walk from the car park. Take caution with young children around slippery rocks especially after rains. Don't spend more than 15 minutes here. Better waterfalls nearby!

Lovely walk under the falls.

What I love the most about this walk is being able to walk under the falls. It just seems to offer something different to the rest. Of course there’s the caves thrown in also to add a bit of diversity and for the serious hiker you have the option of taking the 17 Warries circuit.

Great stop while exploring Springbrook. Short walk to lookout. Waterfall isn't as great as Purling Brook Falls but still well worth the stop.

Lovely bush activity after a wet season

This is a great bush activity if there as been recent rain. There is a car parking and picnic area with toilets. The waterfall is only a short 100m walk from the picnic area. There is also some spring water pools and little streams. A great place to enjoy the bush sounds.
