Cave is not that attractive for carst formations but it is a challange to visiti it. And you spend in the dark 1 - 3 hours so you can feel what the cave explorers experience underground. You have to be a bit fit and it is good to have some experience with caving. Some parts of otherwise secured paths (ledders, ropes, ) are very narrow and you have to look at the guide how to pass through them. It is a good idea to bring gloves as some parts are wet and you have to help progresing with your hands too. Good hiking shoes or even boots are a must! The guides are very atentive, and know a lot about caves

We tried the adventorous tour and we were told to pass through a crazy exposed creek, with a quite complicated passing through slippery walls. The fall was so deep that we could not even see the floor. Guides were not using ropes or harnesses in that very risky pass.
We dedided to turn back at that point. We asked for a refund and they refused.
Don't do this unless you have a LOT of experience with caves. Was my forth or fith cave and never been not even close to a situation like that.
Totally not recommendable and VERY RISKY.

Extrém barlang túrán vettünk részt. Kúsztunk, másztunk, igazi fizikai és lelki jelenlétre volt szükség, és óriási élmény volt. Klausztrofóbiások és akik rettegnek a sötétben, hagyják ki. Mindenki más menjen, én sem szorultam be :)

I was there 6 years before. It was an amazing, incredible, fantastic exprerience. It is not dangerous at all. I highly recommend it.

This tour is awesome! We did the base tour, it is completely suitable for beginners. I am not sure about the extreme tour, you rather do the base tour first.
We gathered at 11:30AM, had about 30 minutes to pay, get the overalls and helmets. There is a good 30 minutes walk up to the entrance of the cave. The way up is pretty steep. We got back to the cars at 3.15 or so.
You should bring closed shoes, I don't think that hiking boots are needed (probably in snow for the walk up to the cave). Your shoes will get dirty. Very dirty.
The cave and the tour itself is amazing and informative. It is a very good experience.
One tour guide spoke fluent English and another one had expience with German. So this tour might be good for foreing groups as well.
There were a few holes in the cave that weren't easy to get through for bigger men. I would say, above 100kg you would probably stuck, but I'm not sure. (photo attached)
Price was 6000/adult and you can pay by cash (HUF only!), card and SZÉP-card (this is a Hungarian thing)

Először 10 évesen csináltam végig a túrát, aztán 13 évesen 9 éves öcséimmel és a 11 éves húgommal, és minden alkalommal hatalmas élmény volt, és a "kaland "mellett nagyon sokat tanultam.
Szerintem ki fogom próbálni az extrém túrát is....

2015. marcius vegen latogattunk el Blatonedericsre a Csodabogyos barlangba. Elso alkalom volt mindenkinek a kis csapatbol az overalos barlangaszas. Az elejen mindenki kicsit tartott tole, hogy a fold alatt szuk reseken preseljuk magunkat egyre melyebbre, de a tura felere mindenki feloldodott mivel turavezetonk tapasztaltsaga nyugtatoan hatott a barlangszuz tartsasagra. Eletreszolo elmenyt nyujt a barlang, mely egesz evben latogathato es kezdo barlangaszoknak kifejezetten ajnlott.Mi az alapturan vettunk reszt de jovore az extremturan is reszt veszunk.

This is a wonderful place to visit and a chance to feel yourself not as a tourist, but as a speleologist. You don't stroll through halls to see all the beauty as in a museum, but you have to earn to see the beauty. And you earn this by climbing a mountain first and then climbing and crawling, sometimes on your belly or your back. Yet the beauty you see is really worth it. We saw sleeping bats, stalactites, stalagmites, etc.
We had a wonderful guide Agnes. She speaks perfect English, and you can see she really enjoys every minute of the tour and does her best for you to enjoy it too.
My tip for future visitors would be not to dress to warm even during the autumn - spring periods. The climbing you have to do makes you warm :)

As we had some bad weather during our stay we visited a lot of caves around Lake Balaton. This one is a real treat! Small groups are taken underground by a guide (sometimes they do not speak English/German) and lead through a series of natural caves. The way is over narrow ladders, rocks, through tunnels and steep walls. You have to be fairly fit in order to do the climbing and crawling and prepared to get dirty as you need to slide over the cave floors or climb up muddy rocks. It is something for the adventurous but the guide is very helpful and knows his way around perfectly. We took our 9-year old son along and although he was a bit scared, the guide helped him step-by-step over the ledges and climbs. The otherworldly beauty of the underground world makes it well worth and the thrill of the adventure just as well!
