Vue panoramique sur Sete. Un point de vue très jolie sur la ville et les environs.
À faire en même temps que le site des pierres blanches qui permet une belle vue sur notamment l’étang de Tau.
Environ 1,5 km entre les deux sites, avec une montée assez importante vers le site du Mont saint clair.

We drove right to the top rather than walking and found plenty of space in the two car parks at the summit even on a nice sunny Sunday.
The views were stunning, there are a few coin operated binoculars available to further enhance the sightseeing.
Some pics attached as words don’t do the scenery justice.
After enjoying the views, it’s only a short drive down to the canal side restaurants and bars.

Op zich mooi uitzicht maar nauwelijks tot geen uitleg over de geschiedenis. Bijkomstig nadeel: locals laten massaal hier hun hond uit waardoor je meer naar beneden kijkt dan naar de omgeving en het uitzicht. Hierdoor de route afgekapt en elders gegaan.

Très belle vue de sete...montez y, vous serez charmes par le point de vue.

Wonderful setting and worth the hike.
However, we went back for the night light up of the Abby that everyone has talked about. Waited for the last bus return to the parking lot at 11 pm. So many people were waiting for the night lights. The last bus driver said they have stopped it due to electricity shortage. No such information was available online.
One day trip was perfect. The website lacks accurate info. Don't plan for the night view.

A faire à Sète, Super panorama sur Sète et ses alentours. Parking en haut du mont, facile à se garer. Site aménagé. Ça grimpe fort.

Climbing to see the spectacular view was worth every step! Of course, we took frequent breaks but we are a little out of shape.

L ascension à pied demande quelques efforts largement récompensée par un joli point de vue sur la ville portuaire. L accès à la terrasse du belvédère permet de découvrir l autre versant côté étang de thau. La chapelle mérite une petite halte.

Bonjour,
Pensez vous que les marches pour accéder au Mont St Clair sont faciles à monter pour une personne ayant un problème de genou ou vaut il mieux y aller en voiture et pouvoir quand même visiter les petites ruelles en redescendant ?

La montée est assez rude , il est préférable d y aller en voiture , un parking est d’ailleurs prévu en haut

Il est facile de monter au Mont St-Clair et vous garer près du panorama. En sortant de la voiture, vous avez une magnifique vue.

I am visiting Sete in August and was wondering if it is possible for anyone to give directions on foot to Mont St-Clair from the tourist office.

The route by road is from above the harbour wall car park, it’s quite a steep climb even by car. I believe there is a bus service that runs up there - hopefully the tourist information people can advise further or give you directions by foot. It’s a stunning view over Sète and the Thau lagoon when you get up there....

Walking from the cruise port (Bassin Orsetti?) to the summit of Mount St. Clair will take at least an hour. There must be a bus from the port to the centre, but its within walking distance. Not the best of walks though.
From the town centre - Epi d'Or - bus 5 takes you up to the little church on top of Mount St. Clair called « Notre Dame Souveraine du Monde ». It's possible to take a walk on the hill itself, with very nice views. It's also nice to walk back towards town.

Does the bus take you right to the chapel? My knees are bad and I can't do too many steps or uphill walking.
