Stellar Tours of Mykonos Food and Delos

We were lucky enough to have Antonis as our guide for two tours during our 5 day stay in Mykonos. We were a large group of 10 friends, and he kept us engaged with his storytelling the entire time.

We did an evening food tour our first night in Mykonos which, besides learning a lot about Greek food and Mykonos’s history, gave us the layout of restaurants for the rest of our stay. It was obvious that he knew the business owners well and we loved the “behind the scenes” feel we experienced. The quantity of food we got during the 5 or so stops was more than enough for dinner that night. And the quality was top notch. What a great start to our Mykonos stay.

Our second tour was a trip to Delos and is not to be missed. Without Antonis and his knowledge we would have just be wandering around looking at ruins. But Antonis used his extensive knowledge and unique storytelling ability to bring Delos to life. After the tour a couple of our group said that the first time that they looked at their watches was 15 minutes before we needed to head back to the boat.

We have taken tours in countries around the world, and I can honestly say that Antonis stands at the top of our list.

Incredible Experience

Booking a private tour on Mykonos with Antonis a licensed guide, is the only way to go! Four of us were lucky to find him via the Rick Steve's tour book. He picked us up at our hotel with his driver and we literally toured the entire island stopping at a local sustainable dairy (delicious yogurt!), a vineyard for lunch (great wine!) and then walking the port area and eating at a farm to table small plates restaurant (Captain's: Food for Sharing) after catching the sunset. We finished at a local bakery that has been in the family for 9 generations!! Antonis is extremely knowledgeable, genuine, and a fun all around person and we learned so much. His passion for his work and the connections he has on Mykonos helped us to have the best day ever. Highly recommend booking his as a guide.

Incredibly knowledgeable and fun to be around!

Tony was an incredible tour guide, we spent three days with him. The first day was a food tour, where we tried some of our favorite pastries and drinks of our whole trip (Soumada!), the next day a tour of Delos, and the next day we did a hike to two secluded beaches. He was extremely knowledgeable and fun to chat with. We are grateful for the stories and ideas he shared with us and look forward to hopefully seeing him again next time we’re in Mykonos! Thanks Tony!

So much information presented in an interesting story telling format! Antonis is extremely knowledgeable and presents the information in a most engaging manner. He makes sure all questions are answered. From our experiences, he has earned the distinction of “best guide anywhere!”

The BEST way to see both Mykonos and Delos!

Antonis is a fabulous guide for both the town of Mykonos and the ancient island of Delos. In Mykonos, he brought us to three iconic sites, and three of his personal favorites, that are less known. We were guided all around the labyrinth of town streets. In Delos, we were treated to the history, and stories that made the ancient ruin come alive, avoiding crowds. Antonis knows all the best spots. Without him, none of us would have been able to truly appreciate the island. If you are lucky enough to find him available, as we were, book him! We were a group of 8 and everyone agreed that Antonis was the best guide and provided us with a wonderful experience on both Mykonos and Delos.

Antonis is a great and knowledgeable guide. He gave us a detailed history lesson of the island and its connection and significance to rest of Greece.

The tour is well placed with time to explore the historic ruins.

History brought to life!

We enjoyed a spectacular day in Mykonos and Delos. Antonis was the most informative and interesting guide. He was a wealth of knowledge and we really felt like we were squeezing the most out of our short visit. 100% recommend!!

We booked Antonis for the Delos & Mykonos tour. We are a family of 4, the kids being 12&15.
The tour was fantastic, Antonis really brought Delos to life and gave context on the rich history of the place. Explaining the politics at the time and how the place has evolved in that period.

The second part in Mykonos was a nice contrast and he was able to share some nice facts and show us corners that we would have otherwise missed.
For us it was a great start on our vacation

Top Guide at Delos

I run a travel company and have used many guides over the years for tours of sights however Antonis is at the top of my list as one of the best guides. He guided a group of 20 flawlessly through Delos and provided rich context all in a digestible way! Highly highly recommend Antonis!
