“Amazing Sidetrip for Nature Lovers”

เดอะสีมาก็ง่าย แต่ลองขับรถจากซานกริสโตบัล (มากขึ้นในการเดินทาง ถ้าคุณเดินทางมาจาก Tuxtla) มีดี - เส้นทางรอบ ๆ ทำให้นกเป็นอันมาก - เราดูและสังเกตุดูเป็นสีส้ม - ฟัลคอนจิกเกอร์ orioles และระบายของ motmot นอกจากนับร้อย racous นกแก้ว เดอะ rappelling ปิด เนื่องจากฝน แต่มันเป็นเว็บไซต์ที่งดงามนั่นก็ยังดี - คุ้มค่าที่จะขับรถ พนักงานร้านอาหารเป็นกันเองชี้ให้ดูนก ทั้งสถานที่สะอาดไร้ที่ติ และเกือบจะว่างเปล่า ข้ามมาที่นี่ และกับดักนักท่องเที่ยว มันน่าทึ่ง!

เราไปขี่ม้าสีมา Cotorras เดอลาสเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ 10 - วันไปเที่ยวเรือช่วยชีวิต Enduro เอสซี Ecuestra ด้วย ในขณะที่พวกเราไม่ได้เข้าไปในหลุม rapel มันก็ยังคงเป็นประสบการณ์สนุก และเรามีอาหารกลางวันแสนอร่อย ไม่แออัดเกินไป เราได้เห็นหินได้

What an amazing experience today. Thank you Don Paco and Maria for your beautiful hospitality and a truly sensational adventure. We did the whole package which included zip line, rappelling, ferria ascent and ancient art viewing. What a day to remember! Lunch and refreshments great too.

Es una experiencia única. Tienen que darse la oportunidad de bajar y ver lo maravilloso que es la naturaleza, y después la subida, todo un reto pero que bien vale la pena.

Viendo las pinturas rupestres. Experiencia inolvidable.

Maravillosa experiencia de bajar a ver las pinturas rupestres. Nos sentimos muy seguros guiados bajo la supervisión del experto espeleólogo de la Sima. La comida deliciosa y el servicio muy eficiente. Dormimos en una de las cabañas, rústica pero perfectamente funcional. Fue una hermosa experiencia.

You have to be very early at the place to see the birds, the big hole in the hill is impressive but I don't think it worth it to spend a day and visit it.

Volviendo a disfrutar la sima

De regreso en la sima, escribo nuevamente para actualizar mi reseña de 2013. El lugar sigue conservando toda su belleza natural.
Ahora con nuevas atracciones como son vía Ferrara, tiroleza y hospedaje en el fondo de la sima.
El camino prehistórico, donde se pueden observar las pinturas rupestres.

Muy caro paro lo que muestra 10 cotorros volando cada 15 minutos, está muy lejos del pueblo y el camino no está pavimentado! No vale la pena el lugar; no lo recomiendo para nada; el chorreadero está mil veces mejor

El largo camino no compensa la vista

Es un lugar muy curioso dónde puedes pasar un rato observándolo y caminando alrededor, pero el camino para llegar allí es largo y está en malas condiciones: 1,5 h de camino desde Tuxla para estar allí media hora y no lo puedes compaginar con otra actividad porque no hay nada cerca.

Gran experiencia: Rappel y arte rupestre milenario...el hombre y la naturaleza.

En esta ocasión la diferencia entre sima y cima la hace la primera que refiere cavidad en la roca calcárea...cual si fuera un viaje a las entrañas de la Madre Tierra.
Una gran experiencia, de aquéllas que dejan grato recuerdo en la VIDA. Es impresionante la altura y mediante el rappel adentrarte en ese enorme y profundo hueco donde en ciertos horarios la algarabía de las cotorras residentes constituye una plena experiencia natural.
Francisco y su equipo son excelentes anfitriones y tienen la virtud de proveer seguridad ante quienes nos impresionamos con las alturas y somos inexpertos en la materia.
El descenso es en dos fases u opciones:
El que se hace hacia el fondo y el que se realiza hacia la zona en que se encuentran las pinturas rupestres.
Nosotros nos decantamos por la segunda y ha sido una maravillosa apreciación de historia viva de hace 12000 años; acorde a los datos que ha tenido a bien proporcionarnos Francisco, quien es un profesional apasionado del rappel y del patrimonio pictórico e iconográfico que posee.
Mi profundo agradecimiento por compartir sus conocimientos.
Disfruta de Sima de las Cotorras porque: ¡La VIDA...es un VIAJE!

Excitement to disappointment in no time flat

We were very excited to see this natural wonder. After the long journey in and paying 900 pesos for our family of five to enter and camp, the disappointment began. There is no infrastructure for camping and so we set up our tents on a slant, trying to avoid the rocks and horse poop from the horses who free range through the camping area. When you pay that much to camp, you expect minimum infrastructure and there was none of it and dirty bathrooms to boot. An hour and a half after we had set everything up- tents, air mattresses, etc. and as night was falling the same young girl (maybe 14 years old?) who had manned the entrance gate, charged us and let us in came back over to say that we had to pack up and leave because no animals were allowed and we had our dog with us (calm and on a leash). We were stunned! There had been no mention verbally or through signage that pets were not allowed. When I went to the owner for my refund and complained that he was not managing his business well to have let in guests who did not meet entrance criteria we had no way of knowing (no mention of it at the gate and no signs) he proceeded to blame the young lady at the gate and tell me that he was mad at her and would be following up (I heard him yelling at her as I left). It made my blood boil to watch an owner sit arrogantly at a table throughout a customer issue his poor management caused, as he delegated all challenging tasks to a child and then responded to my direct feedback with arrogance and complete lack of personal accountability as the owner. It made me sick to my stomach that a man like him would be making money off a substandard experience and that he had no shame to dump on a young and poorly trained employee.

The sink hole is beautiful and we saw parrots fly in and out. It is lovely but very poorly managed and over priced and I personally feel relieved that I did not contribute financially to the wealth of a business owner with poor customer service, ethics and management skills.
