Nice place! Easy entry, respectful and helpful staff. I just wish the residence had a greater historical focus on General Ye Ting and his contributions to the Chinese Nation and fight for freedom. It mostly focuses on his children and the housekeepers after his departure with little political and military history noted. I am happy Macau has preserved this former residence of a great militaryman, father, and statesman.

This small house tells the story of Ye Ting, an early military leader of communist China. The former residence is largely restored to its original layout with some photos on Ye's offspring. A collection of documentaries recalls the Ye family's Macau memory.

Macau now has a handful of repurposed heritage properties that are dedicated as memorials to important historical figures including the former residence of General Ye Ting, Chinese People's Liberation Army leader in the early 20th-century. Opening hours are 10am to 6pm daily (closed on Wednesdays).
The property was built in the early 1920s and includes two downstairs rooms and three upstairs rooms which are nicely furnished with items from the time period in which General Ye Ting resided here (1932-42) during his time in Macau. There are also photos of the General and his family as well as additional photos of how the property was used by Chinese nationalist organisations after the family departed in Macau.
Unfortunately, all signage within this particular attraction is Chinese and Portuguese language only. This is strange given that the ICM have managed to include English information in pretty much all other historical places under their watch. This has been the case since the General Ye Ting's Former Residence was restored and opened to the public back in 2014. As such, if you want to learn more about the man and can't read these two languages be ready to do some research on your own before or afterwards.

「葉挺將軍故居」をご存じでしょうか？ 行きたかった盧廉若公園を見学しついでに行きました。出入口から北西方向行ったところにあります。
中国の将軍である葉挺氏の邸宅を博物館にしたもので展示内容をみると偉い人のようです。入場は無料です是非立ち寄ってください。

盧廉若公園に行く前にあった中国の将軍の旧家。
外観は質素だが、中はポルトガルなど西洋の流れのデザインでなかなか綺麗。
無料で入場が可能。館内はエアコンが効いていない。

孫文の祈念館から林則徐紀念館に向かう途中黄色い綺麗な建物があり興味が出て覗くと、入口の庭に家族の像があり警備員がいたので入館できるか？ 無料か？と聞くと無料とのことだったので、入ってみた。中の説明を読むと【葉挺將軍】は中国人民解放軍創建人の一人で傑出した軍人で１９２７年～１９４２年にマカオに在住したとの説明があった。
建物の中は博物館になっていて寝室・リビング・執務室等が公開され、ビデオも放映されていた。また中に多数の写真が展示されていて家族との写真と共に【周恩来】と一緒に写ったものもあった。中国とマカオの関係の一部をうかがう事が出来て興味深かった。

昔住んでいた小さな洋館を利用した博物館です。場所柄非常にわかりにくい下町にあり、たまたま発見して訪れました。無料で見ることができますが将軍の生活や活躍についてのものが展示してあります。
