We took a trip out of town, after the wonderful Rasiglia, we went to Cascia, to the monastery of St. Rita, we managed to enter in the afternoon, since there are times, led by a monk who before visiting the monastery, told us the story of St. Rita, a very short visit to the monastery but beautiful

Beautiful experience. Guided tour by a very friendly friar in the Monastery of Santa. You can admire with faith and wonder the well, the vineyard and the famous rose garden. We then move on to see a room where her wedding ring and the “special” gift given to her by the carpenter, the object of her first miracle, are kept. From back 🙏🙏🙏

We had time to wait for the opening of the monastery of St. Rita where a Lebanese lady explained well the life of St. Rita. In there you can admire the crown and the wedding ring of Santa Rita. And then also its first chest where the saint is depicted. Going up some stairs you get to the rose garden where there are many roses of different colors. At the entrance there are nuns who give bags with fragrant roses.

I went to Cascia on May 22, the feast day of the patron saint. The place is small but a symbol of the life of Saint Rita, in it there is a religious and historical significance.
On the occasion of the festival you can buy the rose, sold in the streets for the price of € 1, the same price for all banquets. In the morning you can attend Holy Mass, until 11.30 am, the last to bless the roses. Although it was said there were many people, they seemed well distributed.
You can see in the Church the relics of Santa Rita.Un trip that I recommend to do in May, or, summer time because the road is within Umbria is quite long and the road uncupa by the way. A place of prayer and spiritual gathering.

We happened upon it by chance and it was a wonderful visit, one of those that leaves you with something important on a spiritual level. A lady acted as a guide after mass, allowing us to visit the courtyard and a room of the monastery, telling the life of Saint Rita (about whom I knew almost nothing) in a simple and engaging way. It was a moment of true spirituality. Recommended for those who want to rediscover a climate of authentic faith.

Salve, vorrei sapere se oggi, in seguito ai vari episodi dovuti ai terremoti, il Monastero sia visitabile e se lo è se abbia delle limitazioni, grazie

Purtroppo a causa del terremoto la visita del monastero è abbastanza breve oltre alla vista della vite si visita un'altra stanza ove è posizionata la cassa della Santa e altri suoi oggetti. Il roseto per esempio non è più visitabile fino al termine dei lavori di consolidamento.

Le visite guidate sono per il monasterio. Puoi sempre chiedere alla reception (guardando il santuario a sinistra) se ci sono visite guidate anche al santuario, anche se ho visto solo gruppi guidati dall’accompagnatore di gruppo...
