Il luogo si trova dopo una breve deviazione dalla strada principale . Il parcheggio è libero. Da li partono diversi percorsi : quello er il farò di Malatiff 6,5 km) e quelli più brevi per la spiaggia 250 mt o 150 mt. Noi siamo arrivati alle 9 del mattino il 29 agosto ed eravamo praticamente da soli. La spiaggia è nera e meravigliosa caratterizzata da sabbia lavica e da ciottolò neri in contrasto con il mare e il panorama attorno verde di muschi. Dalla spiaggia e dal mare affiorano delle rocce a faraglione davvero suggestive.

Vom Strand aus kann man eine kleine Wanderung nach Dritvik machen, einer ehemaligen Fischfangstation. Wir haben von dort aus dann noch eine lustige Wanderung über die Lavafelder gemacht, die aber leider nirgendwo hingeführt hat :D

Las dos playas y el camino de acceso entre ellas, a través de un campo de lava, de unos 20 minutos, proporcionan un entorno fantástico. No dejes de ir a Dritvik, poca gente va y permite unas vistas sin tantas aglomeraciones como en la playa vecina

Tutta la penisola Snaefellsnes è molto bella.
In merito a questa spiaggia c'è un parcheggio superiore e poi si accede attraverso un sentiero ben indicato.

Djupalonssandur is a beautiful pebbled beach, with a series of rocks of mysterious form emerging from the ocean. About 1 kilometer west of Djúpalónssandur beach is a small bay called Dritvík. The cliffs and rocks leading up to this beach are spectacular. Astounding geological formations, absolutely breathtaking. Great views and a variety of different trails you can walk. You can also see the volcano and glacier Snæfellsnes in this place. Amazing.

Una experiencia religiosa, espiritual, emocional, sensual, es visitar esta inmensa estepa de paisaje marciano con vistas alucinantes de montañas nevadas. Tuve la sensación de hallarme en un planeta desconocido, y ese silencio atronador, te hace sentir que estás solo en el universo. No sabes ni dónde mirar o hacer las fotos. Por ello, incluye una parada en este lugar mágico que de ningún modo te dejará impertérrito.

This was a stop on a cruise excursion. There was a rather steep but short downhill path to the beach which might be difficult or impossible for those with limitations. It is a beautiful and popular beach, however, and well worth the effort. I wish we had had more time to spend exploring here and time to take a hike. Interesting lava formations.

Visited the area & the beach with the shipwreck. Volcanic beach so was very dark & brooding when we visited in the late afternoon as it was starting to rain, very Game of Thrones.Interesting information regarding the Shipwrecked British steam ship. There a couple of ponds and some stone arches. Worth a visit, particularly in good weather

This is a stop along the drive along the Snaefellsnes peninsula. There are two routes to choose. You can take a longer route down and up a path to the black sand beach. It was a place where fishing boats met and parked in the pass. Wreckage can be found. Another route to the Utsyni Viewpoint is open to wheelchairs. You can have a birds' view of most of the beach here.
