Quite a steep hike to the waterfall, very wet and slippery trail. I would suggest that people are warned beforehand, we walked past a couple of older groups that were unable to reach the top. When you get to the waterfall itself, it will be so worth it. Beautiful waterfall!

These falls are really amazing, and a treat for the adventurous ones wanting to take a shower under the falls. It should be noted that the walk to the waterfall is quite a distance and steep, and can be slippery during the rainy season. You should make sure you wear appropriate shoes as it is rocky and wet.
Can be a tough walk for those who are not physically fit and elderly.
The road to Bridal Veil Falls was full of potholes and difficult to maneuver for those in small cars. Suv recommended.

We enjoyed this outing to the falls. Quite impressive.

The security guard welcomed us with open arms, where after we had a nice walk to the most beautiful sight.

This is a stunning place for a picnic lunch with friends, family or for lovers.
A great forest walk/climb, into a hole in the ground with a natural shower from above.
Can be a tough walk for those who are not physically fit.
My favourite waterfall in SA; not the biggest greatest or most spectacular; but definitely the prettiest, and most conducive to having a shower under.

The road to Bridal Veil Falls was full of potholes and it was raining - terrible to drive there and because if wet weather it was very slippery to walk to the falls.

The path to the falls is well maintained and an easy walk. The falls itself are beautiful with the mega stromatolites (domes in the wall). Definitely a cool sight for anyone interested in geology. However, the road to the falls is in a dismal state. Pothole on pothole. With a R20 per person entrance fee, one would expect better upkeep. I would not recommend visiting in a low-rise vehicle.

Absolutely breathtaking! This was a highlight of our short weekend away in Schoemanskloof / Sabie. The walk here is beautiful amongst the forest and although it is a bit of a climb, the stairs were fine even with a knee problem! The view of the waterfall makes every step worth it. The area is well-maintained and only cost R15pp to go see the waterfall. A natural beauty that is a must-see.

The Bridal Veil Falls is just outside Sabie, Mpumalanga in South Africa. It is 146m high. It is situated just outside Sabie and is accessible by car, with parking and picnic area on SAFCOL's grounds. From there an easy footpath runs through bush scenery for about 1 km directly to the waterfall

The road to the falls was in a terrible state, even driving next to the road did not help at all. We strongly recommend at least an SUV type vehicle. An entrance fee of R 17.00 per person is charged at the entrance to the falls. The terrain was neat and well kept. The security guard on duty ensured the safety of vehicles and belongings. A short hike takes you to the foot of the falls, allowing beautiful photo opportunities. Being the dry season, only a wisp of water fell over the cliff.
