Leuke rondleiding over het chateau met uitleg omtrent de verschillende beaujolais wijnen van het chateau.
Aansluitend de proeverij met toelichting.
Qua productie is 30 hectare wijn niet heel groot en wellicht was onze verwachting iets te groot. De rondleiding was wel in het Engels wat weer een enorm pluspunt is voor de niet Frans sprekende.
De totaal score zit tussen voldoende en goed in, de prijs van EUR 25,- per persoon is vrij stevig.
Aansluitend de proeverij met toelichting.

We arrived at 2pm and Morgane gave our group of 10 a very warm welcome and informative tour. We learned about the terrior and history of Beaujolais while exploring the winery production, quality controls, cellar and tasting room. Highly recommended in the quaint village near Romanèche Thorins, only 43 miles north of Lyon. We hired to excellent van drivers Jordan and Nans from Chauffeur Lyon who stayed with us and had lunch in town.
This was such a fun day for this California wine group and a very good bargain.

Dropped by unannounced to sample some of their wines after reading about them in Wine Enthusiasts. The lovely lady that hosted us was thought, helpful, and allowed us to taste a series of white and reds. There was no pressure to buy but we ended up purchasing some bottle to take home. The surrounding grounds are beautiful. Recommend stopping by and knocking on the door.

Visite en famille des chais et du domaine.
Accueil très chaleureux et explications passionnantes. Le vin est superbe, au moins autant que le lieu, et se gardera plusieurs années. Il soutiendra sans problème la comparaison avec d’excelllents Bourgognes.

Nous nous y sommes avec des amis après que le Château nous ait été recommandé par un restaurateur du coin. Nous n’avons pas été déçus, le vin était sublime, nous sommes même repartis avec une caisse, les propriétaires charmants, connaisseurs et pédagogues. J’en profite pour recommander tout particulièrement le très séduisant fils du propriétaire, un beau blond aux yeux bleus avec un grand sens de l’humour... <3 rien que pour ça la visite du domaine vaut le détour.

History of the place is very interesting as we learnt from the owner that bought it some years back. We actually cross checked what he told us and it is true, the wines are listed in some of Paris best restaurants and we even managed to get it back in NYC. Super nice experience if you are up for a local adventure with Chateau owners that are totally down to earth - and have great wine;-)

Certainement une des meilleures références de l'appellation Moulin à Vent qui produit d'excellents millésimes depuis plusieurs années. Le Chateau du Moulin à vent rivalise avec les beaux domaines de Bourgogne.
Nous y sommes venus cet été lors d'un week-end de dégustation. L'accueil y est chaleureux, la vue superbe et les explications passionnées.
Je recommande chaudement de s'y arrêter pour visiter et déguster.
