We hired Taxialcart driver Christoph to take the 4 of us from CARCASSONE to Sarlat-about a 3 hour drive. He suggested we stop at Albi to see the Toulouse Lautrec museum. It was about 1/2 and what an excellent stop. We enjoyed the museum and seeing the spectacular cathedral.
Christoph was an excellent driver and had helpful information. Plus his Mercedes’ van was super comfortable.

For my 70th birthday I decided to rent an incredible house in Beynac and invite family and friends to join me for ten days. I planned this a year in advance and, after researching, found Christoph and Sarissa who run Taxi & Touring A La Carte in the area. Shortly after I found them I learned that Rick Steves also recommends them. Once I started working with Christoph he made all my potential problems go away. Nothing seemed too big or small for him to handle. It's difficult for me to describe all they ways they took care of things so I'll try to pick some of the top ones. They picked us up in Paris and drove us to Beynac which was a lifesaver as I had my young grandson with us. They then helped me deal with a cranky caretaker who spoke no English and assured we got all our luggage up then down a VERY narrow and steep hill. They took us touring for three days which included amazing caves, wine tasting, etc, all in keeping with our likes. They even put me in touch with a private chef who prepared an amazing dinner at the home one night. They arranged transportation for everyone and we ended up using their services nearly every day. Christoph even helped my with a car rental when the company I went with canceled at the last minute. Sarissa is exceptionally informed on the history in the area and the tours she led brought the historical perspective to life for us. I swear these two seem to be able to accomplish anything!

Our group of 6 completed a 10 day self-guided bike tour of the Dordogne. We ended in Sarlat, turned our bikes in but wanted to visit Rocamadour. I found out about "Taxi & Touring A La Carte" through our bike company, Le Velo Voyageurs, which I also highly reocmmend. We couldn't have had a more perfect last day of our trip! Christoph, the owner met us at our hotel in a beautiful & comfortable Mercedes 8 passenger van. He not only provided the transportation but was a great wealth of information on the surrounding villages sharing with us the history of the Dordogne and Lot region. Our day became more than a visit to Rocamadour. We stopped along the way at an old 14th century fortified flour mill, went through several "Les Plus Belles Villages" of France. We covered so much in the 6 hours with Christoph. He is genuinely knowlegeable, friendly, and was very interested in helping us learn more about this beautiful part of France. We only wished we had another day to spend with him! This company comes highly recommended by our group. Thank you again Christoph for a great day!

In September, 2022 (the date above is not correct but was requires), 12 of us descended on Sarlat and on Christoph and Sarissa. We had a wonderful five days of touring with them. Now I want to refer another friend to them but I can't find a link to their website that works and my email bounced back. I hope that they read this and get in touch with me. Christophe and Sarissa stepped in to assist us when I broke my arm and was unable to drive on our planned holiday to the Dordogne. Their professionalism and kindness made our week discovering this beautiful area possible. Sarissa is a fabulous guide and her itinerary was thoughtful and informative. Her knowledge of the history and culture of the area was amazing. We would give them 11 out of 10 for a great service.

My sisters and I booked Christoph and Sarissa for both tours and taxi service. They were excellent. They allowed us to custom design the sights of the Dordogne that interested us and delivered tours that exceeded our expectations. They were excellent conversationalists and very informative. If I return to the area I would definitely use their services again.

It is hard to describe the excellent care Sarissa gave to us during our tour. Not only did she provide wonderful insights and suggestions, she provided on time excellent transportation (for us and our luggage). We were on a walking holiday in the Dordogne. We had an injured walker to whom she gave special consideration and care. Sarissa was able to get my friend last-minute tickets for a prehistoric cave tour while we were out on our walk. And when my luggage broke, Sarissa gave me her own duffle bag so I wouldn’t have to carry my clothes in a plastic bag. She is exceptionally knowledgeable of the area, courteous, and kind. Her partner Christoph answered all my inquiries within minutes. He also gave us a text reminder everyday of our time to be picked up. You couldn’t be in better hands than with Taxi a la Carte. Thanks for helping make our Dordogne trip safe and memorable. DD

This transportation company owned by Christoph is the answer to your transfer, private excursions, and guide needs in the Dordogne France and surrounding areas. Our only regret is that we didn’t reserve their excursions and guide services more often for visiting the great number of caves in this magnificent part of France. Christoph and his wife Sarissa communicated beautifully prior to and during our trip and were knowledgeable about the caves and small villages you’ll visit. I’ll also add that you’ll travel comfortably in luxury vehicles while taking in the beauty of the magnificent Dordogne. Highly recommend this company for all your transportation and guide services.

Hi we are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids - 5 yrs and 9 yrs, travelling to France in June (from India). We will be in Sarlat for a very short period during our holiday - 3 days (not including the day we arrive and depart). We want to make the most of our short stay and prefer not to drive. We arrive from
Paris so we are looking for station pick up and drop (either from Bordeaux or another station close to sarlat) and we are also exploring taxi for touring (caves, castles, wine tour in Bergerac?) . Would you be able to share approximate estimate of what the rates are for touring and transfers
