Stayed at the Royal Harbour Resort right across from the marina. A lovely spot for walking with downtown nearby. Lots of trendy chops and eateries in town and the very close by town of Clarksburg.
The Royal Harbour Resort with appointed stidio and two bedroom suites has a nice pool and hot tub, as well as an exercise room. Staff are very helpful however rentals are sometimes hard to come by as many of them are timeshared units. Book plenty in advance.
The Thornbury Cidery is a great spot to visit for picking up great ciders and also a trendy place to chill with drinks and charcuterie etc.

We were here in the winter months, but it was still spectacular. It was invigorating standing on the shore, with the icy wind and waves crashing onto the shore. There is plenty of parking, and benches to sit on. The area is nice for walking.

Beautiful area to sit and watch the sunset, would definitely recommend. They have some cute shops around the corner!

I can sit for hours just watching the water and relaxing. We usually buy lunch,eat here and enjoy the view. Fall time a lot of people fish for salmon and lake trout.

The Thornbury Harbour embodies summer holiday from shore to shining shore. Clearly a hot spot for city folk visiting and worth a stroll out to the end of the harbour for some of the best views on the southern Georgian Bay, not to mention the marina. This has become a favourite spot for us and certainly worth a visit.

We have a timeshare in Thornbury and love it. It's quiet and peaceful. You want a place to collect your thoughts and get away from the hustle and bustle of life this is the place. The scenery is beautiful. There's bike/walk trails close by and a spa about 20 mins away.
