Do not be put off by the poor reviews, they are all several years old. We rented the small boat for three days and the price was great, the boat was sturdy with a 150hp Yamaha outboard, and the people are incredibly kind and helpful. A bit of advice... put some sort of GPS or Navigation app on your phone, the water around the islands can be very very shallow and rocky.

We saw a lot of bad reviews about Rainbow Rentals but our experience was great : reliable little boat even in quite hard conditions in the morning (very wavy, one of the speakers even fell off but they fixed it at no cost), great prices, the staff was nice, I recommend it. We only rented the boat for a day but it gave us great memories. You should definitely experience Abaco by boat it’s great !

I read some of the old reviews and was a bit apprehensive about booking here. The fact most of the bad reviews were dated tipped the scale. That and the Power Cats they rent seemed like the best boat for our needs.
I couldn't be happier with the rental and Rainbow's service. We arrived a little early to their office but no problem, the boat was ready to go. They even offered a cash discount.
We got one of their budget options a 22' Power Cat. It had newer 4 stroke Yamahas on the back.The boat is definitely more functional than pretty. Not a lot of gelcoat, but it ran great and smooth and got great value in the fuel department. It is probably the most spacious 22 foot powerboat I have been on. Lots of wide open deck space and lots of seating. Loved that it had twins. What the girls in our group really loved that I hadn't thought about was the large, flat platform of a foredeck. It made boarding on and off super easy since we were always docking with a stern anchor out and bow to the dock.
We had a problem one morning with a check engine light coming on one of the Yamahas and a slight misfire. Called the office and they immediately with very few questions asked sent a new boat over to us in HopeTown. Within an hour of calling we had a brand new boat (actually a different boat, not brand new). I later asked what the problem was and it turned out a previous renter had gotten some bad fuel from a dodgy fuel dock and there was some water causing the problem. Nothing I could blame Rainbow for, and to be honest I think when a problem arises it's an opportunity for a company to shine and they totally did.
Returning the boat was super easy, they called us a cab and sent the final bill for fuel a few days later.
In every way Rainbow surpassed expectations. I highly recommend.

My husband and I came to the Abacos on a quick getaway that we planned only a few weeks in advance. I was so lucky that Wayde and Tracy of Rainbow Rentals had 1 boat left for us to reserve.
It was a basic 22’ monohull single 150 hp engine, but was perfect for us and would also have been big enough for our family of 5 had we brought the kids.
We are boaters who live in FL and the boat had a nice newer Yamaha engine that ran perfectly.
Built in cooler and a fresh water shower.
We saw other company’s similar size rentals out and about with small 115 hp engines and felt fortunate that wasn’t ours.
Wayde and Tracy went out of their way to accommodate us for the return, exceptional customer service! Thank you very much and it was a pleasure meeting you both!

We rented the 22 foot twin V from Rainbow and could not have been more pleased. The boat accommodated five people very comfortably, with plenty of room for dive and fishing gear. The catamaran hull takes wind and waves without beating you to death. The boat was ready when we arrived and the staff were very helpful in explaining its operation. The GPS makes navigating the islands a breeze. I highly recommend Rainbow Rentals.

I have rented from Rainbow for several years. Just rented their 22 foot twin V. The boat was modern, had gps and redundant engines. The boat worked great and the people who run the business are very friendly and helpful. They gave us a ride to our condo.
Will certainly rent from them again.

We rented from Rainbow Rentals in June 2017. The boat was ready to go when we arrived and worked perfectly the entire time we rented it. I was a little nervous because they don't mention having GPS units on their website but our boat had GPS and I believe all the boats do. When we dropped the boat off at the end of our rental, the checkout process was very efficient.

Do not rent from Rainbow. We come to Abaco every year... This was our first time renting from Rainbow. Our boat literally had engine trouble 4 days in a row. We called - they fixed it. It broke again. They came to our home & fixed it. It broke again... It's so frustrating to island hop with a boat that won't start. Finally after spending 3 hours at their facility, they hesitantly gave us a boat with a functioning engine... And that woman who runs the office was just awful - so ugly to us. The two boat techs were super chill & tried to help, but that woman... Goodness.

I rented a boat from Rainbow at the last minute , and they were more than helpful and professional. We wanted to rent a boat for a few days, but couldnt find a rental company that had boats available. Rainbow had one for a day so we decided to rent it. They were great in having to ready when they said, and did'nt waste half the day with the orientation. They guy getting the boat ready gave me all the info I needed and off we went. The boat worked fine the whole day, and when we returned, we docked, gassed up and we were out of there in 30 min. The bill had no surprises and things could'nt have been better. Not sure about all the bad reviews, but I know we were completly satisfied and happy with the boat and the services.

Rented a boat last minute, this was our only choice. Unfortunately we had an unreliable boat, with ignition, and gas gauge issues. This caused us a day lost on the water. The boat we rented was old without modern gps, or navigation.After much convincing they gave us a day off our rental which was fair. Customer Service had a lot to be desired.
