We did two days jungle trek in gunung leuser national park in bukit lawang. The scenery of vast green of the rainforest was amazing. Absoulutely stunning. You must be fit to do the jungle trek as it was really fractically climbing and climbing all the way from the start
Seeing the orang utan in the jungle was our main purpose and seeing the jungle itself with the other sumatran wild life in it was a bonus. We saw about 10 orang utangs and lots of different of type of the monkeys too
Be in the jungle and stay over night in the jungle was really a life time experience for us. Waking up in the middle of the rainforest with the sound of monkey shouting each other and the sounds of the nature around the campsite was trully wonderful
Over all organizing was welldone and we really appreciated and we are very thankful for making our sumatra jungle experience so memorable
The guides and the porters are trully helpful and professional. Speak really good english too. All the meal are freshly cooked and provided. Very yummy.. Indonesian dishes

Unseren Transport von Bukit Lawang an den Lake Toba hatten wir mit Kerina von Sumatra Tour and Travel gebucht - und das war die richtige Entscheidung. Die mehr als 8-Stunden lange Fahrt war sehr angenehm dank unseres äußerst netten Fahrers und dessen umsichtiger Fahrweise. Auf dem Weg haben wir ein paar Mal angehalten, unter anderem in Berastagi und am Sipiso-piso-Wasserfall. Unser Fahrer, ein Batak Karo, hat uns viel über Land und Leute erzählt und das in sehr gutem Englisch. Herzlichen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Tag!

We really enjoyed our 2 day 1 night trek tour in bukit lawang sumatra.
Our guides and porters were so friendly, passionate, and very helpful all the way from start to finished
The food was really excellent and freshly cooked in the middle of the jungle. We were lucky enough to see about 8 orangutans, Two were babies. There were lots of other animals along the journey
The tube rafting was really fun. The view of green hills full of gigantic trees were so amazing. The water was bit cold though.
The trek in the rainy season was little challenging with very steep climb in places, and slippery and muddy too.
At points we were climbing backwards, holding on to tree roots for balance. The guides were there to help us to go through
You must be fit and good health condition as you will be sweating alot and pushing yourself to go up and down of many hills. And this area is very humid too
We decided to relax at the campsite on the second day as we all having sore legs from the previous day climbing. The campsite near the river and waterfall which was really good for swimming and enjoy the sunny weather in the middle of the jungle

We're young family with one toddler. We book our sumatra tour with sumatra tour and travel . We decided to do the 5 days tour which include two days trekking one night in the jungle of gunung leuser national park, Elephant Day tour and one day inland trip from bukit lawang to lake toba. It was well organized. We departed fron bali, arrived at medan airport around noon and the driver was there waiting for us with our name tags.
Then we drove off to bukit lawang and stayed at ecolodge which was organised / included with the package. Be patient with the road trip. A lot of bumpy and wiggly road.
The next day we started the two days trekking one night camped in the jungle. It was amazing experience. The sounds of the river near the camp, the jungle sounds in the and night was very different. It was really feel like deep jungle
We did not do another trek on the second day. Instead we prefered to relax at the camp and had the swimming in the river and the small waterfall near the campsite. We leave the campsite at noon on the tube rafting. So much fun
The next day we heading to tangkahan to walk with the sumatra elephant. The drove through the palm oil plantation for 2 hours with offroad car. The road was really was crazy and challenging, dirt road and loose stone.
We back to bukit lawang and arrived at 7 oclock. Long day.....
The next day.. We went inland tour started from bukit lawang, berastagi fruit market, karo old village, sipiso piso waterfall and then we arrived at parapat harbour. We saw the sinabung vulcano closely. It was

Over all the organizing is good. We really appreciated and thankful for making our sumatra tour is very memorable.

Highly recommend ST&T, we booked a 4d 3n tour started a jungle trek then inland from Bukit Lawang to Lake To a. All freshly cooked meals were provided on the trek and a good variety.
Trekking was tiring but well worth it saw Orang Uranus the Black Gibbons were awesome having fun in thier environment amazing to see. Then on the way to Lake Toba we stopped at Berastagi fruit markets omg so tasty. Continued on to the traditional Village of Karo,a close up view of the Sinabung Volcano then to the Sipisopiso Waterfall. From the Harbour of Parapat we boarded a ferry to Lake Toba where we had organised to stay at the Tabo Cottages.
Overall we had an awesome time with ST&T. If you are looking for tours on Sumatra I highly recommend these gentlemen.

We are young family with one kid. We book Sumatra tour through Sumatra tour and travel. And actually very satisfied to the service we had with this company.
Our tour was on December 2018.we di two days jungle trek, elephant walking and bath, and inland tour to lake toba.
We arrive at the airport at noon from sabang. The driver was there waiting for us with our names tag. Easy peasy.
The driving was quite long and some area is very bumpy shaky and wiggly.
To tamgkahan where the elephant are was like off-road. Just palm oil along the way from Bukit lawang. Those elephant were very cute and adorable. First time to see them very close.
Jungle trek was really fun. The team took care of every thing. From the tent mattress food were provided and cook freshly. Swimming at the river near the camp surrounded by the green jungle trully amazing. We saw 10 orang otangs with 2 babies
The trip to lake toba was long drive. It wasn't the first favorited. Long drive and we visit karo traditional house , sinabung vulcano waterfall and lake toba viewing point. We stop at parapat horbur and we took ferry to cross the lake to toba cottage where we stay
Over all was good trip. We thank you to the whole team of Sumatra tour and travel. Safe tour and memorable sumatra experience. Very recommended. They are locals and professional

We had fantastic experience in the jungle with the guys from Sumatra tour and travel. Experienced and Professional guide,driver and porters. From the pick up at airport until transfer back, all were above the expectation. stay at the eco lodge which was very nice. Jungle trek with small group of 4. All the food provided during the trek and freshly cooked in the jungle. There is a small waterfall near the campsite where we can simming. Rafting back from the jungle was fun and very enjoyable. We really appreciate. Local and professional service. Thank sumatra tour and travel

Fisrtly, the organising of all are great. They dont missed a thing. Everything was organised as mentioned upon the booking. The drive to bukit lawang is kind of very long plus very bumpy in few areas. The traffics in medan city was bad.. but we were on the good hand driver. The traffics view in the city, the palm plantation view on the remote site.
The trekking was very good. We did two days trekking with one night in the jungle. The fruits served during the breaks, and we had lunch at the small creek in the middle of the jungle.. Fantastic
We went for waterfall in the second day. We could do more short trek if we wish to, but we prefer to relax and enjoy swimming in the waterfall near the campsite.
Back to accomodation at noon on the tube tied together looks like a raft. So much FUN

Great journey and well organised from pick up and drop off at the airport. The trekking tour was great and we had such as good time. A lot of climbing up and down, but its worth it. We saw orang utan closely and other wild life, like monkey and gibbons etc

We had a great time in sumatra bukit lawang. We did 3 days and two nights jungle trek. The guide speaks very well english and knows about the jungle very good. The trek is very tiring and required very good stamina. The view of the jungle really amazing. We saw a lot of orang utans and very agresive one too. Many many macaques. Tube rafting back to accommodations was trully memorable.
