Fabulous morning out. Loads of time with the alpacas too! And there were goats!!
So I expected we would rock up go for a walk for an hour and then that would be it.
We got there for 10:30 where we were told about the alpacas and we got to select which one we wanted to walk. We had a family ticket so 2 alpacas between our family of 4, others had 1 between 2, it worked well for us as the alpacas can be a bit stubborn especially if they want to eat apples!
We went for a walk round the farm and then when we got back the boys were put away and we went to a shed to learn about alpaca wool. Then we got food (can prebook or buy on day £1 per big bowl) and went to see the girls and feed them. They are all so friendly! And there were baby alpacas!! Sooooo cute. on way back we got to feed and play with the little goats so friendly and tame. Which was a lovely surprise. Then back to the boys for alpaca racing/ obstacle course. If you do this get Gary he’s a speed demon. Kingsley Is the slowest and really can’t be bothered lol but he was lovely.
The boys got to play with Apollo and go round the course a few times while they were putting the others away.
The animals were well cared for and seemed very happy they all had their personalities and the people running the place seemed to really care.
Facilities- there is a composting toilet outdoors in a little shed which is an experience. A little gift shop with key rings of all the alpacas you can walk so the boys got key rings of the ones they walked. Which was a nice memento.
Afterwards we had drinks and cake at the little coffee shop trailer, seating is outside so good when not raining. The hot chocolate was good but not everything available when we went.
The owner and staff super friendly and made the day memorable.
We left about 1:30 and went to hallowtrees for lunch which is down the road.
Great time had by all and the boys want to go back!

I recently visited Hilly Ridge Alpacas with friends and family, and it turned out to be an unforgettable day! While it sounded delightful on paper, the reality was even better—it provided us with a much-needed boost of joy and laughter that lasted all day and beyond.
Our guide, Harry, was fantastic and truly made the experience special. We pre-ordered drinks, cakes, and food for the alpacas—Stirling, Gary, Kevin, and the wonderfully unruly Krian—which added to the fun. Meeting the pygmy goats was a highlight; I seriously wanted to take Dinky Doo home!
We also found some lovely items in the reasonably priced gift shop that made for perfect keepsakes.
The grand finale was the alpaca gymkhana! Apparently, Gary had never won before, but with a little help from the girls, he led them to victory.
If you’re looking for a day filled with smiles and adorable animals, I highly recommend Hilly Ridge Alpacas!

What a fantastic experience. The team were so welcoming and the Alpaca's were great. Special thanks to Icarus who was fantastic on our walk and the obstacle course race

To be honest I was a little apprehensive about agreeing to go on this venture with my husband but I relented and jolly glad I did. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone, we are in our 70’s and found it all easy going. The pleasure of being with and touching these beautiful animals was a once in a lifetime experience and to top it all off we won first place in the obstacle course with ‘Appolo’. I’m now looking forward to trying my nice Alpaca bed socks purchased from their lovely gift shop.

It was an amazing experience. Had a laugh, when the hormonal females spat at us, but it was a fun morning.
Got to go back and do it again, as we were limited to walking round the farm, because of blue tongue.

We had a such a wonderful morning at hilly ridge as a family. Liam and Harry were great hosts! The alpacas were so calming and lovely to be around and the goats were great fun! Thank you so much. We’ll definitely be back!

Loved it. A brilliant couple of hours. Apollo & Hurricane (alpacas) are just gorgeous - as are all the others but they were the two we walked with. The staff are lovely, very knowledgeable and friendly too. DH enjoyed feeding the goats too!!

My daughter and I had a fabulous afternoon. It was great fun learning all about the Alpacas and interacting with them. Would recommend.

An unforgettable experience! We had the opportunity to meet and choose our alpaca—Gary was our pick. The walk takes you through the stunning Suffolk countryside, and the time just flies by because it’s so enjoyable. Jo and Liam are fantastic hosts, keeping everyone entertained and offering plenty of help along the way.
After the walk, we returned to the farm where we could meet and feed the rest of the alpacas and even play some games. We booked as a couple and joined a diverse group that included other couples, grandparents with grandkids, and a family with a young woman with additional needs. Everyone was exceptionally well looked after and had a great time.
To top it all off, we stayed for coffee and cake at the on-site café and picked up a few alpaca-themed items from the shop. Highly recommended!

This is a really super place to visit. The alpaca walks are well organised and take place through pleasant countryside. An added attraction was the paddock of cheeky goats and it was also lovely to be able to get up close the the young alpacas. The owner and members of the team are great - full of interesting information. They made it a really enjoyable outing for my grandson and me and for the wide range of ages in the group we walked with.
My only advice would be to arrive early to avoid getting hemmed in as the parking is limited.
