It’s possible but I wouldn’t recommend it as it can be very muddy and you won’t be able to access everywhere.

Not as such but there is a layby on the side of the road directly opposite which is more than suitable.

There is nowhere official for refreshments but there are close options nearby. My choice would be the cafe at Intouch about 300 yards (5 min walk) back towards the M6 opposite Pesto at the crossroads. There is also usually an icecream van parked on top of Parbold Hill, again about a 5 min walk away in the opposite direction.

Hi, yes you should be fine. Although there are some steps these can definitely be avoided and you can still have a lovely walk. Enjoy!

If you are travelling from Wigan it is on the left hand side just before Parbold Hill. Small parking bay on the left

from 1 hour depending where you start and finish as you can walk on one side of river and cross over and do the opposite and also all the side turn offs too you could be there for quite a few hours if the weather is nice and just take it easy enjoying all the wild life and waterfalls.

I agree, it really does depend on what you do. I'd say if you just walked at a normal speed and didn't stop then about 45 minutes.
