So, I can't really comment on the beach as we never made it there. There is a 7-mile stretch of EXTREMELY bad road from a main road in Santa Rosa National Park. We only made it 4 miles before we had to turn around. We were in a standard size SUV. We were passed by a family in a large truck who had to turn back just shy of the beach. They told us that a deep river crossed the road and blocked the way... making it impassable without an air intake snorkel.

Sadly, we had to turn around and all our hard work trying to get there was pretty much for not. This road is is so bad that one of us had to guide the driver through parts of it so we wouldn't high center on rocks or pop our tire one the angular ones. We probably went 1.5 miles an hour...no joke. And it took about 30 minutes driving to get to be park from Liberia. Driving there is just not worth it unless you have a jeep or high clearance SUV with snorkel.

I say, if you really want to go...go by water. There are some boats that can drop you off there after about only 45 minutes travel time. Driving there even in a proper vehicle will still take too long.
