Bonjour Marianne, Les plongées sont belles tout au longe de l'année … et pour la météo, en effet, le mois d'avril est pendant la saison des pluies en Polynésie, mais Rangiroa est très peu touché .. il peut y avoir un peu de pluie, mais par averses de temps en temps. Mais de toutes façons, cela n'empêche absolument pas de plonger sur la passe de Tiputa, et même si il y a un peu de houle et de vent, les conditions sous l'eau sont toujours très bonnes.. et la vie sous marine est présente quelle que soit les conditions :-) Nous ne proposons pas pour le moment de plonger au NITROX malheureusement, mais nous y songeons dans un avenir proche. Nous ne faisons pas 2 plongées à la suite , mais une plongée le matin et une plongée en début d'après midi, et une plongée au coucher du soleil, ce qui permet d'avoir des profils intéressants même pour la 2è plongée avec un intervalle de surface important, la passe de Tiputa étant à 5 minutes en bateau de notre club de plongée.. We just did a 17 day Wind Spirit in December and it was the trip of a lifetime. You will board the ship and thank heaven you did it for yourselves. We did the Rangiroa drift snorkel on that trip and again on a different cruise the year before. Both were fantastic. The first trip was with Y Aka Plongee. They were wonderful but there was only one pass and we didn't see anything. In December we went with Rangiroa Plongee and they did 3 passes and it was quite exciting. One of the passes was a mile long and took 10 minutes to cover, lots of fish. Both companies also take you to the Aquarium which is magnificent. Water clarity, numbers of fish made some of the best snorkeling we did in FP. The trick is Rangiroa Plongee does not require more than 2 passengers to confirm the trip but Y Aka Plongee wants you to have 6 in order to book. The pass is very exciting but you want to be sure you are decent snorkelers and swimmers. Not expert just decent and have been more than a couple times. They tell you to jump out of the boat and you take off, not really time to adjust your mask if needed and that. When you email the Y Aka Plongee or Rangiroa Plongee they can tell you what the tides are like for the day you will be there and if the drift snorkel is possible. If by some chance it's not just doing the Aquarium is worth it. Have other snorkel recommendations particularly for Bora Bora, (did 3 different tour companies in 4 days there), Moorea, Tahaa, Raiatea and Huahine if you like. Have a wonderful trip- wish I was going back.

Ia ora na, Thank you for your interest in Rangiroa Plongée. We usually organize the "drift snorkeling into the Tiputa pass" that finish at the aquarium (coral gardens), and that depends on the current into the pass (incoming current), so depends on the tides... Looking at the tide schedule for january 25th, 2019, the current won't be good during your stop ... the incoming current will finish at 9.30am, and start again at 4pm ... When it's outgoing current, we don't go snorkeling into the pass, because it's dangerous.... but we can go with our boat to try to see the dolphins (watch from the boat) because they like to play with the waves into the pass when it's outgoing current... and then we finish with snorkeling at the aquarium (coral gardens). The tour is around 1h30 / 2 hours. Meeting on the dock at 9.30am front of the Puna snack where the tender will let you. The rate is 55euros per person, payment via PAYPAL. Bonjour Nico, Il n'est pas nécessaire de plonger à plus de 20mètres sur la passe de Tiputa pour faire de belles plongées, nous pouvons adapter la plongée à 18-20 mètres, pas de soucis. De plus, nous pouvons te prêter un ordinateur de plongée. Je sais que l'aranui dépose ses passagers à la plage publique, nous pourrions alors venir t'y chercher en voiture à 7h30. Peux tu me donner la date de ta venue avec l'Aranui et me valider que tu puisses être à la plage publique à 7h30 afin de t'inscrire pour cette date sur la plongée de 8h? a très bientôt j'espère. Bonjour Michèle, Avez-vous déjà effectué un baptême de plongée ? Le niveau 1 se fait généralement en 4 plongées après le baptême. Nous avons une formation niveau 1 les 30, 31 octobre et 1er Novembre.
