Über der Stadt nach einem kleinen Spaziergang zu erreichen. Man kommt an vielen Souvenirshops vorbei und man kann durchaus interessante Sachen eerwerben. Das Fort selbst ist bis 18 Uhr geöffnet mit Ausstellungen über das Leben der ehemaligen Könige das Tales.

We visited around 10am , bearable steep walk up , cafes , souvenir shops along the way . Love the surrounding , local people were friendly , we assign the baltit fort guide to bring us around and he’s indeed good explaining the history and incidents happened . Well preserved . This is a must visit attraction

Baltit fort is one of the things on the must do list, when in Hunza. The way its been built and the history is amazing. On your way there, five minutes before is a restaurant called lal shahzadi. You must eat the local cuisine there, its all homem made by the female owner and delicious.

This place is interesting and the guide was great!
Only I would like to bring your attention to gem stone store! We were fooled by a British guy who is clearly working in hand with a store owner. He pretended to be an expert and buying things from there as well. They are faking clarity of stones and everything else! So please be aware and don’t buy anything from there!

Had a great experience there. The fort was well maintained. It took me back in those old times. The tour guide guided us in the best way possible. However, we purchased a ticket for entry which was around 500 PKR to 600 PKR. Children of all ages can visit the place

Uważany za najważniejszy zabytek regionu Obszaru Północnego w pełni na taką opinię zasługuje. Fort zaczęto budować 800 lat temu .Różne żródła podają różne dane .Ten dylemat zostawiamy historykom . Faktem jest ,że od 15 wieku władcy Hunzy mieli tu swoją siedzibę aż do 1945 roku. Potem fort niszczał , ale w latach 90-ych zaczęto jego renowację .W roku 1996 został uroczyście ponownie otwarty i udostępniony do zwiedzenia .Na 3 piętrach zgromadzone są bogate zbiory wszelkich sprzętów i przedmiotów używanych przez mieszkającą tu książęcą rodzinę . Na osobną uwagę zasługuje bogata i bardzo ciekawa kolekcja zdjęć rodziny książęcej. Interesująca jest sama budowla zbudowana zwyczajowo z użyciem materiałów murowanych przekładanych drewnem . Zabezpieczało to fort przed skutkami trzęsień ziemi . Warto też przyjrzeć się oryginalnym rzeżbionym drewnianym portalom i belkom podpierającym konstrukcję .W cenie biletu [ 1200 rupii ] było oprowadzenie przez przewodnika , który ciekawie opowiadał o najważniejszych faktach z historii fortu i oglądanych eksponatach . Może jeszcze ważniejsza jest lokalizacja fortu .Położony na wysokiej skalnej półce góruje nad całą dolina. Kiedyś miało to duże znaczenie strategiczne a dziś cieszy oczy zwiedzających . Widoki z tarasu na 3 piętrze na całą dolinę Hunza są rzeczywiście jedyne w swoim rodzaju .Tu warto i trzeba być .Fort od 2004 roku wpisany jest na wstępną listę UNESCO .

Well maintained and the guides are knowledge and friendly. Excellent views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Some may find the walk up a bit taxing.

its well worth the climb to visit this historical treasure. Well restored. The guide was very knowledge and entertaining .The views from above was a bonus.
