Went diving for two days with Otto and it was fantastic. Our group had a mixed level of experience and he made the newer divers feel comfortable while also taking us to memorable locations for the benefit of the more experienced divers. He was also welcoming, attentive to our comfort and enjoyment, and interesting. We saw a giant school of jacks and five bull sharks. Would definitely recommend him.

Diving went great and they had everything well organized. We dove in mid-January and recommend that if you go in January, you know a few things and ask a few questions so you have proper expectations. They ran our dives out of the Cabo Pulmo Beach Resort Dive Shop. They seemed to use CPBRDS paperwork, wetsuits, etc. The temperature at 45 feet was 66 degrees. We had 7mm suits with boots and hoods and I love cold experiences but this still rivaled anything I've experienced in the coldest winters in the mountains. My wife lasted only one dive. No refund for her untaken second dive. A guy from Seattle hung in there along with me for the second dive but during the surface interval (after dropping off my wife at the shore), he and I just laughed as we uncontrollably shivered and wondered why we do these things. Our petite dive master seemed just fine with the cold water. And for January diving, ask about water clarity. We will come back when the water is warmer and clearer and hope that we will see more and shiver less. But as far as this company goes, they did everything right and so they would get five stars. Not offering at least a partial refund for my wife's undoable second dive dropped them to four stars. 66 degrees should get an extreme star. Minimal water clarity should get a single star.

Great day out diving with Otto and Tamara. Very friendly and professional dive shop. Great quality rental gear and fantastic instruction. These guys have been diving here for a while and know the dive sites very well. We did 3 dives here in 1 day and would love to come back here one day. Highly recommended!

Bevor ich nach Cabo Pulmo gefahren bin, habe ich fast alle Tauchshops, die ich bei google gefunden habe, angeschrieben. Bis auf eine - die aber wegen Wind keine Tour angeboten hat- hat nur Otto geanwortet. Otto hat zeitnah alle meine Fragen beantwortet und mir noch ein paar Zusatzinfos (zum Marinepark, Anfahrt, zu ATM's und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten...) gegeben. Er kann auch einen Transfer und Übernachtungen organisieren. Eigentlich wollte ich schon am Vorabend nach Cabo Pulmo - leider hat sich die Mietwagenbuchung mehr Zeit in Anspruch genommen als gedacht. Letztlich habe ich in La Paz in der Stadt ein Auto bei Avis gemietet (43$ ein Tag mit 80% Versicherung - Abholung am Vortag möglich - ohne Aufpreis). Am nächsten Morgen musste ich 04:30 Uhr los fahren, um gegen 08:00 Uhr in Cabo Pulmo zu sein. Die Strecke lässt sich aber gut fahren. Die letzten km sind eine Schotterpiste, aber mit dem normalen Auto zu bewältigen. Ich hatte dann gesehen, dass Otto extra ein "Willkommen ...." - Schild an die Einfahrt der Unterkunft gemacht hat. Da tat es mir richtig leid, dass ich nicht noch am Vortag los gefahren bin. Andererseits hätte ich dann im Dunkeln die Schotterpiste fahren müssen.
Das Team hat mich sofort willkommen geheißen. Alle sehr nett und professionell. Weil das Wasser nur 20 Grad warm war haben wir auch noch eine Weste mit Haube neben dem üblichen Gear bekommen. Wir waren 5 Taucher, wobei ein Pärchen schon Dive Master war. Nach einem kurzen Briefing ist der erste Stop La Lobera gewesen - toller TG mit Seelöwen. Der zweite TG war El Islote. Jeder TG dauert 45 Min. Zwei fanatstische TG - gefühlt ist Cabo Pulmo wie ein Aquarium. Die Sicht war zwar nicht so gut - aber die Fischschwärme sind nicht zu übersehen. Zwischendurch gab es Tee für die Frostbeulen :) und Obst. Gegen 12:00 Uhr waren wir zurück.
Ich habe mich so wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt und dann noch TG in einem Aquarium, dass ich gerne länger beblieben wäre, aber leider neigte sich der Urlaub dem Ende zu.
Der Tauchshop ist mehr als empfehlenswert - von der ersten Kontaktaufnahme, über die TG bis zum Ende der Tour war alles perfekt. Der weite Weg von einem Ende von Mexiko zum anderen lohnt sich wirklich.
Bezahlen kann man übrigens bar oder mit Karte.

I dove for three days with Cabo Pulmo Dive Station and had a wonderful experience. The dives were great and the rental equipment was first-class. Beyond the diving, they were exceedingly helpful in all aspects of my trip to Cabo Pulmo, helping me with lodging and other things. I highly recommend them.

Thanks to Otto and Tamara for their excellence in Padi Open Water diving instruction. I appreciated their attentiveness and support in learning to dive and their emphasis on safety and respect for the environment, as well as their individualized instruction. Thanks also to the wonderful crew! I hope to dive with them again!

What a fabulous scuba trip. Otto and his crew are very safety conscious and thorough in briefings, and mindful of the divers during the dive. I have never felt more safe. The diving at Cabo Pulmo was amazing. I will be returning to dive with this crew again.

A big thank you to Ricardo and Milo for our wonderful adventure. Thank you to all the Cabo Adventures staff and contractors that made today possible; there were a lot of moving pieces. My advice to travelers is to bring an underwater camera or rent theirs for $50 because this tour does not come with a photographer like the others do.
Snack was good, simple and lunch was great.

Otto and his staff are top notch. Very professional and genuine. The diving was great. Literally 10 min from when you leave the beach your at the dive site. The gear is new and in top condition. For sure not a cattle boat operation. Dive with the owner.
