A very Old Temple of Udupi Town

This temple is located right opposite to the main entrance of Udupi Krishna Mutt. This is one of the first temples in the Temple Complex around the Mutt area. This place has its own history and it is older than the Krishna Mutt here.

The enviorn in the temple premise is very very serene. Daily pujas keep happening to the Chandramoulishwara (Shiva). You would be lucky to hear a group of people sitting and chanting Rudram & Chamakam in front of the deity.

Do visit this temple if you are visiting Krishna Mutt in Udupi.

Small but powerful Temple

It is located in the close premises of Lord Krishna temple. It is the temple of Lord Shiva and the history says we must visit this temple before going to Krishna temple. A nice temple can be seen while visiting Krishna temple.

Small Shiva Temple

Just outside the krishna Temple, this Shiva Temple is a small one, but nice and peaceful. The Nandi here is slanting and that’s how we also have to tilt our head to see Shiva! I couldn’t find out the significance unfortunately.
