Great little place to go fishing. Some of the fish are a great fight. You can fly fish for a hourly price.the staff is supper friendly and will help if required.

Took granddaughter fishing there and had an amazing time. First the staff were friendly and so helpful. There was one staff member that stuck out and his name was Mika and I just was pleasantly surprised the way he took care of preparing our fishing poles with proper hooks and bait. We caught 7 rainbow trout and they cleaned them and put them on ice for our trip home. Had a great fish fry the next day and they were so tasty. Thanks to the entire staff for making our time there so memorable.

Went with our friends and their new born. Arrived on Sat morning of labour day weekend. Less people than I expected so it was a quite experience. We took the spot under the tree on the south side of the lake. It was nice and clean.
The staffs were just as fantastic as everyone else described. I spoked to Don over the phone and he was also the one who checked me in. He provided me all the good info i needed (which i share the most important one with you below). The other fellows were also extremely friendly and helpful. They prepared and bagged the fish (yes, we only caught one) for us and put it in a larger bag with a ton of ice! This was very thoughtful since it was a hot day and we have to keep the fish in the trunk for a long time.
Tips:
The "no catch and release" rule only applies to Rainbow Trout! Which is fair since they raised the fishes on site. Don said that there are some other fishes like rock bass, sunfish, white sucker, in the pond as well. If you catch those, you can release, or take it and they wont mind cleaning those for you as well (without charging!!!). Obviously the most common to catch is the trout but I have seen some large carps on the west tip of the pond.
There are mosqitous! Bring your bug sprays!
Most trouts seem to gather around east side of the pond.

I took my teen daughter here for the afternoon and cannot say enough positive feedback. To begin, the staff are so friendly and helpful. They will get hooks out of fish, clean and prepare your caught fish, help with tangled lines etc all with friendly smiles. Second, the pond and area are immaculately clean. There are plenty of picnic tables to sit at and there are both shaded and sunny areas to fish from. Pails, bait and nets are provided complimentary. Fishing rods can also be rented for a small fee. You can also purchase drinks and snacks. There are two outhouses and a sink for cleaning up.
Once you catch your fish (if you use bait, you must buy the fish- it’s not catch and release) you bring it to the weighing area where your fish are weighed then prepared for you to eat. The staff do everything! It’s $9.00/pound.
We spent 3 hours there and my daughter caught 4 fish ranging in weight from 2-4 pounds.
Great fun for all ages!

I took my 3 grandchildren, age 13, 7 and 4. We have no fishing experience at all.
Michael was so wonderful and patient with the kids. He helped with worms and taught us all how to cast a line.
My 13 year old caught a rainbow trout, it was almost 4lbs. Michael gutted and filleted it and we took it home for supper.
Very delicious.
The kids were very happy.
It was a great way to spend time with the grandkids.

My husband decided to look up stocked fishing ponds around us. We drove about an hour and 15 min to get there. The kids loved it. My 5 yr old daughter had the smallest rod and caught the biggest fish. It totally made her day. The other 3 of us went on to catch our own except she was so happy that she decided to help her Dad catch his fish. I would recommend this place to anyone. Actually my husband, his sister, my nephew and my oldest are heading back tomorrow so he can catch a fish or two. Will probably go back later in the summer. I love the fact that if you dont have a net or rod you can rent them. The worms are free as are use of the nets and buckets. They also clean the fish for you and if requested cut the heads off or you can leave them on. Staff is friendly and helpful. It was an awesome way to spend a Saturday family afternoon.

Lyndon Public Fishing was recommended to me by some friends who take their kids there to catch some fish and enjoy some quiet family time together.
It's a great location, not too large, but large enough. Has picnic benches, and barbeques you rent to cook your fish right on the spot.
Admission is reasonable, but be careful, because you pay by the pound ($8/lb) for the fish you catch... see below.
As I mentioned, it's lots of fun for kids, and an excellent opportunity to catch some trout.
Also, make sure to pay attention to the operating hours. Would definitely recommend.
Fishing Pond Hours

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Took our 7 year old grandson here for his first fishing experience. Very reasonable price of admission and equipment can be rented if you don't have your own. Pond is stocked with rainbow trout. Three were landed in short order. The staff were most helpful. A great experience and the trout made for a delicious dinner that night. Highly recommended. Their website has all the necessary info for spin casting or fly fishing.
