Vuohien syöttäminen ja strutsien näkeminen oli lasten mieleen. Kahvilassa uunituoreet pullat ja vastaleivotut leivät herkullisia. Kaiken kaikkiaan siististi ylläpidetty pieneläinpuisto. Suosittelen 👍

This farm is mainly known for the ostrichs. They also have normal farm animals with Highland cows. Specials are also the wild boars and fallow deer. They have a cafeteria with very good coffee and bakery. You can also buy meat and different ostrich products to take away.

Tampereelta tultaessa hieman ennen Pälkänettä. Poikkesimme pienten lasten kanssa. Vanhemmilta ja yhdeltä lapselta pääsymaksu yht 9 eur, pienin pääsi ilmaiseksi. Pupuja, kaneja, villisikoja, peuroja, highlindereita ja tietysti strutseja. Puolen tuntia vierähtää mukavasti, ja siihen päälle viihtyisät kahvit. Hinta/laatu -suhde on mainio.

Nicely maintained farmtravellig destination for whole family. Many different animals. Cafe sells also meat products from the farm. The owners are super, really love their animals and take good care of them. They also tell about the animals and taking care of them. Definitely worth the money it costs.

Ostrich farm Syrjynen is a nice, little place near the town of Pälkäne. From the farm you find chickens, roosters, bunnies, highland cows, forest deer and of course ostriches. And from the coffee house you can buy different kind of homemade pastries and beverages. You can even buy steaks and fillets of ostriches to go! Everything comes from the farm!

Nice farm to visit, situated in Pälkäne, about 45 min drive from Tampere. It is situated almost next to the highway from Tampere to Lahti.
Friendly service and nice café with delicious warm struts sandwiches and other goods. Small fee to visit. You can see struts (though from quite a distance, that was a bit of a disappointment...), highlander cows, wildpigs, deer, chicken, rabbits and a horse. Perhaps also pigs, cats, and sheep, during the summer period. It isn´t possible to touch the animals, so for small children maybe keeping the attention for long might be difficult... There is also a hut to be rented (in advance) to grill your own sausages by the fire. You may enter as you will during the opening hours, but if there is a big group you may want to make a reservation to get a 45 minutes guided tour around the farm; it is for extra fee for groups less than 20 people, but if you have 20 people or more, the tour price is included to the entrance fee of the group. You can access with strollers or even a wheelchair.
HINT. You can buy vacumed highlander and struts meat and eggs at the café! This is local food at it´s best. Some of the meat available is frozen, some fresh. If you need bigger amounts of meat or something specific, please make an order in advance to make sure you´ll get what you want.
