Breathtaking Canyon

The Cañón del Colca is impressive, breathtaking. You can trek for a few days or take a tour that takes you to the main sights. We took a tour. The Mirador Cruz del Condor is probably the most impressive. We saw tons of condors flying near us. They are so majestic. The sights of the canyon and the river are gorgeous.
Totally worth!

Amazing views of condors!

We stopped here to see the condors when we were in the area. The views are amazing and while I wondered if we would see condors, we were rewarded with visits from several of these magnificent birds, soaring high above the canyon. This was one of our most unforgettable moments in Peru and I think you should try to do this if you possibly can when you are in the area.

La route pour se rendre au Mirador à partir de Chivay est très belle. Il y a plusieurs endroits où il est possible d’arrêter et prendre des photos

Le site du Mirador est beau. Malheureusement, nous n’avons vu qu’un seul condor et de loin.

Les toilettes sont gratuites et propres.

Touristic but a must-do

Stopped here while driving to the start of the Colca Trek. The views are magnificent, but it is really touristic. There are a few viewing points with have much more beautiful landscapes, but this was the spot where we spotted the condors the first time.
You just need to stop here, enjoy the views and hopefully spot the condors.

Experiência incrível!
A paisagem toda por si só já é deslumbrante! E para complementar, as aves majestosas aparecem planando e desfilando pelo Canion! Incrível!
Caso tenha tempo, recomendo o tour de dois dias, que será um pouco menos cansativo e mais proveitoso!

Siamo arrivati a questo mirador con uno dei tanti tour guidati per vedere il sorvolo dei condor. Il posto è ovviamente affollato ma con un po’ di fortuna ci si può ritagliare un angolo dove vedere volare questi uccelli.
Ovviamente le foto con il telefono sono inutili, solo i video rendono un po’ anche perché i condor sfrecciano
Abbiamo fatto anche un breve sentiero più in basso dove c’era meno gente ed abbiamo visto i condor volare

Amazing

We had a wonderful time with the condors. Yes it is quite busy, but there are lots of view points. The condors were amazing and do come remarkably close.

Not especially accessible for those less mobile, but otherwise an amazing experience.

Too touristic

If you go directly from Arequipa, it takes 4 and half hours to get there. The landscapes are just amazing and it is worth the visit because of this amazing nature.
Sadly, it is overcrowded and there are a lot of people dancing and asking for money, people dressed as condors and other stupid things.
Also, take in consideration that it is not that easy to see a condor, so maybe you won't be able to see one.
