This is a really great museum. It’s well kept, and the staff (volunteers) were very friendly and accommodating.
The various displays are informative, with plenty of photographs to show local history.

A totally unexpected little gem tucked away in a side street. We were totally amazed how much history is crammed into this former workhouse, its well worth the £3 entrance fee. I cannot speak highly enough of this place, don't hesitate if you're in the area and are interested in the past and social history to seek the museum out. Excellent for kids too.There is car parking if you just go up the hill and turn into the opening marked POLICE. A 5 star find!

What a little gem hidden in Pateley Bridge. Several rooms to visit with a fantastic selection of historical items and very well set out in themes eg schoolroom , bkacksmiths, shop etc. Definitely worth the £3 entry fee.

A brilliant museum, a nostalgic look into the past. Very well set out and excellent value at £3. Staffed by volunteers who are both welcoming and knowledgable. This was our second visit and I'm sure we'll return.

This museum is absolutely wonderful. It is a traditional museum, rather like the one in Pannet Park in Whitby, and is packed with thousands of items from times gone by. If you like all things vintage and past times, then you will absolutely love this gem of a museum. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This is one of Pateley's hidden treasures - a bit off the beaten track away from the high street but well worth seeking out with something for all ages. To be honest there is far too much to take in on one visit. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and the exhibits both highly varied and well presented. The only drawback seems to be the somewhat erratic opening hours.

The museum is arranged in room and tableau format depicting various occupations and lifestyles for
from a bygone age with many many actual artefacts. It makes for an interesting visit. I particularly liked the geological display showing when and how the Dales were formed. Well worth an hour or two of any visit.

The staff are friendly and welcoming and all the exhibits and displays are really carefully organised. Left feeling that we had a real feel of the history of the area. Warmly recommended.

This is a lovely little volunteer run museum. It cost £3 for entry and is full of fascinating little exhibits showing local life over the ages. It’s quite a labyrinth of little areas which we thoroughly enjoyed. We spent a good hour here and I think I could have spent longer to be honest.
