Ham Wall and the Bittern Walk to Glastonbury is a great place to get out into the countryside, walk along some beautiful riversides, and of course see the famous Starling murmuration. I saw millions of Starlings perform a murmuration at the end of November, around 4pm (as the light began to fade). Follow the crowds, as the locals know where to best see the aerial wonder. It lasts for over half an hour, at least, as the birds congregate and swarm and fly as one, creating amazing and powerful shapes in the sky.

We visited the murmurations early mid Dec, omg, it was epic! Since then I've been back several times and it truly is mind blowing!

We were there for bird watching, but it is also great just for a walk or a cycle ride. The RSPB welcome was very good and the car park had plenty of space. The hides were open and not crowded. We were probably a bit early for the migration season, but had a lovely day and would go bac.

Very relaxing experience. Marsh harrier and little egret were highlights but we were a little too early in the season to experience the starling murmurations so we will simply have to return!!!

We enjoyed walking the Ham Wall, but there were few birds to lift the spirits even more - they are still on the way from their summer venues! Nevertheless, lots of hides to find and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Brilliant reserve. Even in these trying times the R.S.P.B folk were full of good information and advice. Lots to see and the perfect size for an afternoon /morning birding trip. We spotted the Bittern which the reserve has been set up for. A first for my friend and always exciting to see. We will be going here again

Beufal stuning a place lost in time wild life in abundance. Would be a great place to take children exploring maybe a cafe on sight would be good railway inn partcelly next door is great but not open daytime week days.

Had a super visit to Ham Wall. Arrived early 9.30am- very few cars in the carpark. Well kept and signposted walk ways- really enjoyed the boardwalk area and the fact some of the hides and look out areas were open. Amazing bird watching- ticked so many off the list! £3 for all day parking was great and meant it was easy to combine a visit to Shapswick Heath aswell! Thankyou Ham Wall!

Excellent reserve. Good sightings of march harriers and great egrets. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Starling murmuration was awesome.
