We have tried several providers in the area and done two tours with Due North, and unfortunately, I have to say that both were disappointing. Don't splurge on the reindeer tour with snowmobiles. You pay a lot of money, primarily for snowmobiling, and in our case, a short 15-minute round trip with the reindeer. The tour also started only after noon, so this mini round was in the dark. Meanwhile, all the other tours in December start in the morning so you have daylight during your tour, which we would have preferred. We also had a sick person in the group, and this was the only provider (we also booked with Snowfun Safaris and Safarctica, both of which I would recommend more) that did not offer any refund for someone not going on the tour. Whereas both tours weren't fully booked, we were the only ones. All in all, they kept their promises – the tours were as described. But I would recommend other companies in Akaslompolo.

First experience on snowmobile. We had a great pleasure. Superb atmosphere and very professional guide

My friends and I booked a snowmobile trip, everything went very well! From the reception to the return of the ride. Due North Safari provides helmet, gloves, jacket and snow boots. I highly recommend them!

My partner and I did a husky tour, drove through the snowy landscape with a snowmobile and enjoyed tales of Finnish folklore hunting for Northern Lights. We enjoyed it a lot. Thank you and hope we can come back soon!

I am glad that I not only chose the right place for my short stay in Lapland, but also the right agency for excursions! The two tours I booked to the snow village and to Heidi's reindeer farm were fantastic! Everything was very well organized and carried out in a very personal and professional manner (thanks Corinna!)

Very nice and friendly guides, good organized and not complicated.
We went on snowmobile ride and visted also a husky farm. The ride with the huskys was absolutely the highlight of this holiday.
It was freezing -26 Celsius but nice and sunny weather the ride was just fantastic. If you love dogs, beeing outside and don‘t mind the cold a must do for everyone. The nice staff will give you also warm cloth to make sure that you don‘t end up beeing an ice cube at the end of the trip.
We will definetely do this again if we come back.

Haben hier eine Skidoo-Tour vorab aus Deutschland gebucht. Die Abwicklung war super. Der Tag der Tour begann mit einem freundlichen Empfang durch unseren Guide Cécilia. Waren eine kleine 4er Truppe. Die 360 Akas Tour war einfach Geil. Jederzeit wieder !!!

The activities were all organized by our travel agency and we were very lucky to have all of them at the Due North Safaris:
Aka 360 on snowmobile (1 person / snowmobile), a half-day visit at a huskies farm (incl. apprix. 90 min of sledge driving) and a reindeer tour under the stars (unfortunately no northern lights this night). The guides are great, the timing are perfect and we really enjoyed every minutes of each activity!
They provide you very warm equipment as well! Definitely recommend this to anyone! Thanks again to all guides and drivers 😊

Hello, Yes absolutely. Im really sorry about the website, we have been having some difficulties with it recently. Unfortunately we dont have any online booking system as we prefer to try and keep our groups sizes smaller. This way we can plan and manage the groups into good sizes.
