Amazing City, you will remember the water

What I loved most about my trip to Iran was traveling through Khuzestan...and Dezful was the highlight of my trip. the atmosphere of the city built around the river Dez is simply amazing, you can sit around the water in the evenings and enjoy your time. The people are extremely hospitable and my god, their food! it's extremely delicious! we headed to the city after camping around in the amazing nature of Khuzestan and decided to have street felafel first thing and it was the best felafels we've ever had. Amazing city and best people. definitely recommended.

De wandeling waard om naar het midden van de brug te lopen waar je veel mooie vergezichten hebt. Wel bloedverziekend warm....,maar jam je moet er iets voor over hebben he in Iran.

he old bridge of Dezful is the most important historical monument of the city of Dezful, which connects the two eastern and western parts. In fact, it is one of the ways of the Jindi Shapur area and the Mesopotamian land, which, according to the order of Shapur I of Sassanid after the victory over the "Valerian" of the Roman Emperor and With the use of the Roman prisoners in 263 AD, it was still built up to nearly 18 centuries since its construction, and in spite of the various changes that it has in its lifetime, it still remains in its original form, and is adorned with ornamentation The honor of this corner of our land has been. As mentioned at the beginning of the article, the name of the city of Dezful (Dzhupel) is due to the magnificent building.

Dezful's Old Bridge has been renovated and rebuilt in various times, due to its importance in the past, including Deylam, Safavid, Qajar and Pahlavi. The historic bridge of Dezful has survived for many years and is recognized as the oldest bridge in the world. The bridge is numbered 84 in the national monuments list and, according to its age and effectiveness, can be one of the works to be listed on the World Heritage List

Such a beautiful spot to enjoy the river and the many families who were enjoying the river and chatting. Found a great restaurant across the river that had excellent fish. Well worth a visit.

Nice stop if you are en route

I wouldn't go out of my way to see this bridge but if en route or in town worth seeing. You can walk across it as cars are not allowed to drive over it.

A beautiful clay brick arch bridge built some 2000 years ago. Until 1971 it was the only crossing over Dez river. Needs restoration to keep standing for another 2000 years.
