My husband and I visited the garden today but were sadly disappointed. It was recommended by our hotel and quite nearby so we were looking forward to it. However it was badly maintained and there were very few healthy plants. There were some mature trees that were thriving but the were also a lot of small specimens which looked neglected and in need of feeding and watering. The cafe is beautifully appointed looking over the gardens and surrounding hills. The staff were very pleasant and polite. Also if you are thinking of visiting the whole site is on the hillside so very steep and rough underfoot.

Lovely visit yesterday,we went for a coffee,but we’re informed the kitchen was reopening for the season,so glad we stayed,lovely service,delicious wine and the food was spot on ,well done 👏☺️

Wonderful experoence hard to nelieve it os so new we had a super huide alica and on the walk we were joined by a dutch biologist who gave us the benefit of his knowledge when fonished we had a light lunch which was also excellent

En meget fin og hyggelig park.
Man går 2,5 km på ujævne stier.
Køreturen derop er fin. Vejen med ny asfalt.
Vi fik meget velsmagende mad mens vi nød en fantastisk udsigt.

Excellent visit to these gardens. Some amazing views as well as all of the different fruits the trees and bushes bear from across the world.
This was about 4k in total but takes a while if like us you were reading the information about the different fruits. A great few hours and an interesting zigzag drive up into the mountains. Worth the views.

Ce jardin est situé à environ 15 km au Sud de La Chanée.
Tout le long de son parcours (environ 2,5 km avec un petit dénivelé), en grande partie ombragé, nous avons profité d’une agréable promenade au milieu de nombreuses plantes et fleurs parfois exotiques, d’arbres fruitiers. N’hésitez pas à vous rendre jusqu’au petit lac où vous retrouverez quelques animaux et profitez de la compagnie de magnifiques paons et paonnes.
Prix d’entrée : 7 €

The garden is lovely. But the food at the restaurant is the actual food of heaven. Go for the food if nothing else. Got the bus from Chania which gives enough time to walk the garden and then eat. The actual best food of the trip

Amazing trip out. Took us around 3 hours to walk around and we took hundreds of photos. The restaurant was also very good and if you're staying around the Chania area it's definitely worth a look and is pretty easy to get there even without hiring your own car.

Parc sympathique, manque parfois de quelques explications sur certaines plantes.
Bonne activité à faire, très peu de touristes.
Gros bémol pour le restaurant qui ferme ses portes à 18h alors que les plats ont l’air délicieux.

How long is the short cut route versus the full route? I know you would miss out the animals and lake but would you miss much else by doing the shorter route?

The long route is about an hour extra. You miss the animals, the small pond, and the orange orchard at the bottom of the valley- and of course lots od otherplants. If you are fit enough andhave the time, take the long way around.
