We r traveling for the first time to your area with two 10 year old girls. How close is your nice hotel to Waterville USA? Is there lots to do for two 10 year olds? This gets so hard to decide.
Hi Deborah. I would call the hotel directly to ask your questions about your upcoming visit. Thank you for choosing us and we can't wait to welcome you!
I'm sorry I don't know how close it is . I was there for my 25th wedding anniversary with my hubby. One thing that I must point out about the hotel though is that if your family is wanting to do much swimming other then the oceon that though very clean and all. Their pool is quite small.
About 15 minutes to Waterville, it isn't far. That's with traffic and driving slow. The beaches here are nice.
*The Hangout has bands most evenings and there is usually no charge to go and hangout. Sometimes late at night their is an age requirement.
*Pirate Island mini-golf on HWY 59 is fun. You can use a coupon where kids play free (look it up online).
*Lambert's Cafe in Foley. They throw hot rolls and their food is good.
*State Park Camp Ground has a nature center. It's $2 per car to enter. They have some live animals (baby gators, snakes, owls, etc.) and taxidermy animals and artifacts. It's not a big place, but something interesting and not expensive.
*If you don't mind the drive, there is Fort Morgan that you can explore. Also you could take the ferry to Dauphin Island and go to Fort Gaines or the Dauphin Island Sea Lab/Estuarium.
*Several fun restaurants, gift shops, Outlets in Foley, Ice Cream shops, etc.
Yes, this hotel and any beach front hotel would be close to Waterville. The area has has so much to do. If you like hiking I would also check out Gulf State Park (very close to the hotel and Waterville. Hope you have fun!
