We stayed here with family and we were having booking during IPL rush owner is so genuine that he never overcharged.Place is located in hill so very calm and away from noise pollution.We had great fun we will always advice thisplace@ 800/rooom .This is worth.

Stayed here for a night in Mid April 2012. it was my maiden trip to McLeodganj and Vineet - the owner of 9chimes was the only person who replied to my reservation query. Considering it my maiden trip, I didn't wanna take any chances so decided to NOT look around here and there and go to 9chimes. Also coz of 2 reasons, read about its strong Wi-fi and also rooms looked decent. Reached McL, walked till bhagsu and then hotel caretaker Sanjay came down to help us up. Its quite an uphill path, almost till the end of road leading from Bhasu which becomes a trail towards Dharamkot. Off the road, again a flight of stairs till you reach 9chimes. No boards or signs on the way. No one knew about this property, I owe it to it being fairly new. Our room was on the 4th (topmost floor). Someone had just checked out and we had to wait few mins till the room was cleaned. Asked for clean linen and bedsheets and Sanjay provided them. After catching our breath and unpacking, tried accessing the wi-fi and it just WONT connect. It would connect to the router, but not to the Internet. Hence, I was utterly disappointed. Mainly because I needed access to internet early next morning to book a train ticket. Would like to mention I was trying to access Internet on my iPhone, but don't think that could have made any difference. Called Vineet - He offered to help but only the next morning. So in all, nothing could be done. There was no internet. Anyways, the room was clean, just as mentioned on the website, fairly new construction, and bathrooms were clean and with new fixtures and fittings. geyser was provided for Hot water, though pressure wasn't much but you could do with it. There was an attached balcony with 2 chairs, which had view of the hill on the left hand side and the town on the right hand side. Front view was blocked by trees :( When we went to town, I got rooms for the same cost (500rs) with a view of the snow clad mountains and that too on Jogibara road. Paid advance and confirmed them. Checked out next day. All in all I would recommend this to solo or young travelers who don't mind walking up the road from Bhagsu Auto stand and then again climb the stairs to the hotel. Also no tea/ coffee room service etc. But you won't expect that in a basic room. Lots of cafes and eateries downstairs. Road to the hotel was safe even at late nights so one less worry.…

Thanks Sir, We will try to improve over the gaps!But tecnical snags are some time just cant be avoided though i tried my best to contact TATA people for WI FI that nite.We appericiate and offer you one nite free stay next time you visit us with prior intimation.

I stayed here for two weeks. Bhagsu is a very calm place with a lot of good cafes in it. It's located just 1.5 km from McLeod Ganj. 9 Chimes is a newish hotel with hot water, good beds and balconies, and it totally worth the money. I paid for a single room 200 rupees per night. The Internet connection speed is 1mb/s and it's the fastest connection that I saw in India.
