We came here for lunch. They provide both lodging and parking for those who are driving into Mahabalipuram. Their restaurant or 40 ft away from the beach, the distance reduces during high tide - during both high and low tide the view is beautiful, with very few tourists around. We ordered the red snapper curry and a white snapper tawa (order this - it's really good!). Ended up ordering another later. Order 3 crabs (while the South Indian styled cooking offers a more juicy crab, the spices are simple and may leave you wanting for more - the crab with a slight tangy style of cooking offers both a juicy taste but also a burst of tangy juices running inside your mouth). They offered us Carlsburg as no one was interested in 7up and Pepsi. MGR was a great host and made sure we not only enjoy the meal but also has a say in what was being cooked and how. The fish, crab and the prawns are freshly acquired, therefore slightly expensive but the taste they leave behind is amazing! I wish they served filter coffee, so am hoping as promised if MGR will serve us the same on our next road trip. I would definitely recommend this place. With a humble set of representatives, they do a great job in providing a superb taste and experience. …
