Wonderful view of snow covered Caucasus mountain and Gergety church and vast valley, all from your own balcony!!! ! Friendly hosts Tamara and her sister, who speak good English. It is typically Kazbegi styled building, not very new but clean and comfortable, there is a electric kettle and glasses, suggest to carry some nescafe sachets. The location is 10 minutes walk from the city center, straight but slightly uphill climb, but you need it for the wonderful view. though not new. Home made break fast was hearty. It was July and climate was very pleasant and great to feel the village life. It is not a place for modern life and facilities. If you wake up early at 5, can watch the sun first rays falling on the mountain top. We enjoyed our stay here.
Tamara, the host, is lovely, caring and very nice woman, we had the room with our own toilet (and we understood that soon every room will have its own toilet) and it was perfect! the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent (don't miss it) and Tamara was amazing! We had the best time even though the weather wasn't so great and we had to cancel some trips. This is the best guest house in Kazbegi, by far!
Tamara's place is awesome! I had a wonderful stay. Location can be easily found on maps. The rooms have amazing views of Mount Kazbek and the Gergeti Trinity Church. If you get up early in the morning, you can see the first rays of the day falling on the snowcapped dome of Mount Kazbek, sitting on your bed. Tamara doesn't speak English, but that doesn't stop her from extending great hospitality to her guests! She welcomed me with a warm smile when I got there. All rooms were available then, so she asked me to pick the one I like. Then with bits of English, she told me necessary instructions, where towels are, etc. To confirm some things, she put me on phone with her niece who speaks English. She offers breakfast for 15GEL per head. I had it on both days and it was great! The homemade jam she serves is awesome! Stay and breakfast, both are definitely recommended!…
