This is NOT a B&B. This is an attached, split level condo owned by someone who doesn’t live there and hires people to take care of the business.The staff was perfunctory and attempted to be nice. Just did not seem like warm, fuzzy humans. The only reason we ended up here is our other Expedia reservation was canceled by the local hotel on the day of our arrival without notifying us until we walked in at midnight. We were put up in a rundown, no-name hotel in the wrong side of town. Out of desperation, at 1:00 am, we took the reservation at the RTMA Supreme B&B. You are not allowed to wear your shoes in the “house”. There is no A/C and leaving the windows up was disastrous. One night we got to hear an argument between Erica and her boyfriend at 2:00 in the morning; we know her name because her boyfriend was yelling it loudly, a multiple times. The next night the locals were loud coming and going to/from their partying. The house attached to the wall of our room ( which was just a master suite), played loud music. Thank God we liked 80’s music. For a B&B, well, you expect BREAKFAST. Sure if you make it yourself. Store bought bagels/croissants/muffins, expired jam left in the cabinet/not the fridge, store bought & precut fruit in fridge that had white mold on it, and generic/unflavorful coffee kpods. We never felt welcomed, comfortable, or relaxed there. It was like staying with a distant relative. Located near a rougher part of the city. Affordable, but not worth the stay!…

.The Manager tried hard, too hard almost. However, we had to pay a $150.00 deposit in case of damage, which we've never done before and we were not allowed to wear our shoes inside. The room was upstairs - definitely clean and the bed comfortable, although the air conditioner was very noisy and didn't work without blowing the fuses for the other pieces of equipment in the room. The bathroom clean, but tiny. Although breakfast was provided and again they tried hard to provide a variety, it was not the type of food I would chose to eat. All processed and not organic.

Thanks for the review Sue, it was a pleasure having you stay with us. I do try hard to make my guests very comfortable, happy, & relax during their stay. It is a way that I try to show the guests that we care for them in all aspects. I will never change that, it is a part of my personality in showing hospitality to our guests. RTMA provides quality, comfort, and enjoyable stays for our guests. It was unfortunate that during your stay on the final night that there were issues with the air conditioner that resulted in an overload that affected your stay. I had apologize and attempted to correct the issues at the time due to the fact that it was after hours and our electrical engineer wasn't available. I would like to update you you that we have corrected the issues with air conditioner and it now works smoothly without anymore glitches. In regards to the damage deposit of $150.00, it's unfortunate that we have to hold the $150.00 due to past guests damaging our property and not reporting it and RTMA having to replace it at cost. It is necessary that we do this for this purpose and it is usually returned if no damages immediately on departure. RTMA takes great pride in our cleanliness of our property and so we ask the guest to not wear outdoor shoes inside and in return for their comfort we provide the guests non-skid socks and slippers at no additional cost. All of our guest do comply because RTMA is a private owned family home that is used in the operation of B&B and I'm sure you would not like someone walking in your home with their outdoor shoes on your bedroom or bathroom rugs which we had previously witnessed from previous guests. One guest worked construction and had gotten tar from his shoes all over our rugs and the rugs had to be replaced. I hope you can better understand our policy now. Lastly, RTMA spends a lot of money to provide a variety of choices for breakfast for our guest. I had even pointed out to you that we have healthy organic foods when you first questioned me in that regards and it was shown to you and I joked about the fact that "some of us will eat even foods that isn't good for us" and i spoke of guest request for 99% of foods we carry as breakfast items. Mind you, all of our guests love our breakfast and boast about the variety but like the french say, "chacun son Gout" we can't please everyone but we don't give up trying either, this is what RTMA strives for, providing the guests with great hospitality, it's unfortunate that you found my hospitality extended to you to be trying too hard, it was genuine showinfg you I cared. I wish you the best of luck in your future travels.
