I’m not usually one for leaving bad reviews but this place was so bad that we left after one night (we were booked for 3) and went to the Premier Inn instead. Not even sure where to start, first of all it immediately gave off student flat vibes as soon as we walked in, it was not particularly clean and didn’t feel very homely at all. Bedroom was tiny, no room to even open your case. One of the lamps on the bedside table was broken. The bed itself is one of the worst I’ve ever slept in, supposedly a double but we’d have been as well sharing a single as the mattress has such a big dip in the middle of it that we were practically sleeping on top of each other. Barely slept a wink. No hot water in the morning so we couldn’t shower. Hardly anything provided in the kitchen, for example they give you washing up liquid but don’t bother providing a dish brush/sponge?
My biggest grievance is the listing on Booking.com advises that the property has free parking, which is one of the main reasons we booked this place. However only after we’d booked and paid were we advised that actually only some of the apartments have parking and ours did not. The listing is very misleading and did not make this clear. We ended up having to book into the Queen hotel car park which cost almost £40 for 3 nights.
Overall an extremely disappointing experience and we would absolutely not reccomend this place to anyone!
Would absolutely not recommend staying here whatsoever. I'd personally rather take my chances outside on the street. We had 3 nights booked here in apartment 5 and left after one night. The building had a different smell in each corridor, the couch had a layer of dust on it that's probably been there since the jurassic period, we couldn't have a shower as it wouldn't let out any hot water. The listing on booking.com gave false information in relation to there being a parking space available. When questioning the host about this, they brushed it off via email, leaving us to look for alternatives...which was nice of them. The worst bit however about the stay was the bed. It was literally the softest mattress ever to grace god's green earth. It also appeared to have been left in a shape resembling a halfpipe from a skate park. With neither me or my wife being able to sleep on a designated side of the bed, we essentially rolled into the middle and struggled to sleep.
As mentioned before, I would absolutely not recommend booking this place unless of course you're just looking for somewhere to occupy just to stay up all night. Don't make the same mistake we did.
A lot of problems with the cleanliness of the apartment, including; stained pillows and bedding, dirty toaster and kettle, BLOOD on doorframe (which I nearly touched), bedroom lamp thick with dust (lovely, when it's just next to your head when you're sleeping). No mattress or pillow protectors used either, so you have to sleep very close to the stains on the pillows and mattress! Basic necessities missing on arrival, poor lighting and amenities and overflowing bins outside (tell you to remove your rubbish from the apartment before leaving, but bin too full to put rubbish in).
Emailed with concerns after my stay (including photos) and I was brushed off several times. Customer service is poor!
If you are expecting something nice for your £100+ per night, don't book this one.

This is a holiday let in a residential block of flats where new blocks are being built directly to the side and behind. It was not particularly clean. Looked like someone had changed the bed, towels etc then just had a quick clean round the kitchen and bathroom and a quick hoover. The bed suits people who like a hard bed. The best bitvis the location. A 2 min walk to the bridge, down a few stairs then a lovely 10 min max walk along the canal into town.
The apartment is very spacious and fantastic location. However, it is really dirty. The bathrooms are filthy and not been cleaned, the kitchen is grimy and greasy and the whole apartment definitely wasn't even hoovered or dusted before we arrived. The maintenance of the apartment is really poor too. For example, the wardrobe door is broken, the windows won't stay open, one toilet seat is broken and is sliding off and the other toilet seat has a massive chunk missing. The double bed are two twins pushed together that continuously slid apart. The pillows are the flatest pillows ever so very uncomfortable and the thin white vertical blinds means that the bedrooms are never fully dark, due to streetlights outside, and then in full broad daylight at sunrise making a very disrupted night's sleep. The kitchen facilities are lacking too as there isn't even a washing up bowl, a drainer, soap or even bin liners for the rubbish. Considering how much money this apartment has cost me, I am really disappointed. The communication prior to our stay was terrible as it took weeks for them to reply to a query of mine about payment and there were not even clear instructions to where the carpark was. I complained about the state of the apartments at check in and contacted them through email, text and phonecalls several times since and I have been completely and utterly ignored.
