Great pub food served by Debbie & Jason and team. A good menu reasonably priced and all served with enthusiasm. This is a traditional pub in a lovely setting close to Leeds Castle. It has a car park behind the pub.
So me and 3 other lads went to stay over and watch the Leeds VS westbrom game and looked for somewhere cheap to stay. £20 a night. Yeah bonus sounds good. Check in - No one had a clue what was going on at all. Given a few random codes and just hoped for the best. Rooms - 1 Double bed (Which was already broken) and one bunk bed. Because we were big lads we removed the 2 inch thick mattress from the top bunk and I slept on the floor... Woke up in pain and slightly itchy.. Staffing - French guy on the bar seemed hit and miss. One minute he was really nice and then the next he doesn't want to know you. Cleaners were all Czech and spoke very little English but did a great job. Manager (I think) not very clued up about his own hotel and what was going on. Value for money - you pay for what you get. I've stayed in a hostel in Ukraine with better facilities and for half the money.... …
Avoid , avoid, avoid , the below pics were taken when I opened, what I thought , was a nice en-suit! It seems to contain a live boiler , and 2 old boilers , I MY FKING ROOM !!!!!!!!! WTF Say more its says ... AVOID ... AVOID ... AVOID
From the moment I arrived, Steve was exceptionally nice and welcoming. The George is in a fantastic location with many shops and attractions only a short walk away. The George was clean and quiet and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Leeds.
Me and 3 friends stopped over for a night after a Leeds game, You can’t go wrong cheap and cheerful and close to the city centre.. only 15pp room and bathrooms clean and pub downstairs is good value would recommend
